It was the perfect vacation, white sandy beaches, a beautiful self serve resort, a talking fish? … til you lost your wallet! How are you and your friends going to pay your tab now?! Rumor has it that this seemingly quaint tiki bar was built on the site of a long lost pirate treasure… maybe you can find something to get that crazy manager off your back! Will your team solve the mystery and live to tell the tale?

Amazing room! Great size for 4 people. Maybe even 5-6? Very immersion, had to think quite a bit for some of the puzzles. The only thing that made me sad was that I'll only experience the room the first time once.

Loved the room! Intro was great! Ambience was amazing. Our GM was fun. Was one of the better escapes we've done so far. Has been on our list along with Flynn for awhile since it's a bit far from where we live. Well worth the trip. Not quite linear but offered a good challenge that we thoroughly enjoyed an appreciated. The hint system is great as well. Haven't seen something like that integrated in our past games (made me reminisce of the 90s-2000s talking wall mount commercials). There was one hiccup during the last bit but thankfully it was the last puzzle. Did not ruin our experience. Hands down would reccomend to play if you're considering.

Fun. Good challenging puzzles that fit well with the theme.

Each of the rooms were well thought out. The first room was our favorite followed by the 2nd then 3rd.

Treasure Island was an amazing game that accomplished the #1 most important part of an escape room: FUN. From beginning to end the puzzles were awesomely layered and always flowed without a hitch. It was always clear what to do next and the progression from room to room, along with the backtracking, was always top notch. And that is to say nothing about how damn well this room is decorated. The detail is insane and really made the set come alive. Even little details like decor covering the ceilings makes a huge difference in the vibe and atmosphere that this game hit perfectly. A must play in the LA area, Brain Games better be on your watch list if you visit!

A beautifully immersive game where a large number of puzzles slowly start to reveal themselves, stuffed with comedic moments and clever easter eggs. Looking forward to the rest of the games here!

Gameplay

Plenty of puzzles to keep you busy. We particularly enjoyed a good number of dexterity-based challenges in addition to the more traditional style puzzles. If you played Tiki Time at 60out back in the day, you might recognize some props and a couple of puzzles, but there’s a reason they’ve kept them - they’re so fun and were a joy to play through again. This room is SO much more than what was found at Tiki Time, however.

Atmosphere

Each space is themed, decorated, and lit appropriately to create several distinct environments. Every inch of the space was considered, from floor to ceiling. You can even sip and solve with sodas at the bar during your game!

Customer service

Sadie was fantastic and made sure our friends were helping us along the way!

Story

The theming and gameplay are top notch, and we were hoping the story would match. The storyline tended to fade into the background later in the game.

Difficulty

Hard

There’s plenty of ground to cover, but nothing that will trip you up for too long.

One light was out that would have helped us discover a puzzle, but it was immediately addressed and totally not an issue.

Accessibility

Intro and hints were given verbally by GM. Only one portion of one puzzle relied on color differentiation. Entryway for one space is rather narrow with slight uneven flooring, but they may be able to accommodate another way into the space if needed if you coordinate ahead of time.

Dedicated parking spaces for the building in their own parking lot.

Super cool room, utilizing every aspect of the room all the time. reminded me of other rooms with a pirate theme that took inspiration from this one. I was surprised to learn that the whole room was automated!
