We found this room disappointing after reading positive reviews on Morty. It started off great, but after the first few puzzles it went downhill. Puzzles weren’t clued well. In one area the whole space needed a black light for various clues and puzzles but only one was provided so the rest of us just stood around. At one point instructions were given. We did what we were told and a few minutes later the same instructions were given again, causing confusion. In one area we could see into the lobby which broke the immersion. And finally, the price listed on the website was not what we were charged when booking online and there was a fairly high convenience fee for booking online. Not giving a thumbs down because we think the room has potential if it was reworked a bit.

Thank you so much for your feedback. It is well appreciated. Since your visit in December of last year we've significantly streamlined the room. While we love the interactive game mastering script we have, we've clued the room to where less GM interaction is necessary. Almost every puzzle is now clued diegetically. We haven't added another black light... yet... but we'll work on creating a second smaller BL prop that fits the theme. And we're addressing the windowed door area by placing theatrical lighting in that corner of the lobby. This was my very first escape room build and it's been a fun learning experience, especially with customer feedback. You'll be delighted to know that while we'll keep this theme (because regular non-enthusiast customers love a good pirate escape) in another year our so we have a completely new upgrade path happening to this room!
