Mission: Mars

This is the weakest TEG room I’ve played, and I’ve done them all except the ones in Nashville and DC. This is a room that’s getting aged out of their newer stores and I can see why- technical difficulties that made puzzles unnecessarily difficult, and a lot of instances of things kinda opening randomly where it was unclear if it was broken and being triggered late, or if someone else had solved something. The set itself was very fun, but some of my least favorite puzzles with the whole company

Good variety of puzzles, but DEFINITELY for smaller groups (8 was far too cramped and then far too non-linear). Hampered by lots of 4-digit keypads that you simply get answers vs solving a puzzle gives you the code. Tech can be a bit faulty as well. Amazing set tho and still flowed nicely.

The room had several tech problems that hampered the overall experience. Despite that the too was still very fun and had many good puzzles. As always, the set was well above my standard expectations of escape rooms. But The Escape Game is known for that level of detail and this room is no exceptions. If they can repair their tech problems this would easily be rated better.

Really solid, but not my favorite TEG room. You cannot go wrong with any of the rooms, they just have stronger ones in my opinion. The puzzles themselves didn’t flow as well as I would have liked. The set was on par with my expectations however, they always do an excellent job making the rooms feel fun and immersive. The tech was a little finicky and I wasted a ton of time try to press a button just right or to turn a dial ever so perfectly. I can’t compare it to their other space room but good overall. There were puzzles I absolutely loved and parts of the set, particularly the last area, completely wowed me. Their rooms are always excellent so I feel like I hold them to a high standard.

decor and atmosphere were super immersive, but the tech puzzle kept lagging and throwing errors, which took us out of the experience also, the hints felt pretty generic, like they didn’t really help us with where we were stuck, just repeated stuff we already figured out as they are standardized for each puzzle

Multiple game pads (iPads in room) did not work. Staff gave us a free game to play as recompense which we appreciated. The staff was good but this game was not.

Really cool set and design. Again put in with strangers who had never done one and wanted clues 5 minutes in, but by the end they were having a blast and running around. My only real complaint is there’s stuff that didn’t physically work and they had to tell us we were doing it right. You’re an expensive escape room in tourist row that sells out, fix your stuff please. We also did bad as a team because one of us would figure something out and the others would have no clue it was done, but that’s on us.

It had some amazing rooms, and vibe. 7.5/10
