For my teams of 2 out there: this room is definitely duo-ble ;) But the amount of puzzles will make it feel a bit harder than it would be with 4+ people. The room was fun, the set was immersive, and it had some really unique puzzle styles and fun ways of getting into the different areas. The storyline gives it an added fun element, and they even send you a themed music playlist beforehand to get you into the Gold Rush mood! Definitely a cool company with attention to detail. This room is doable for 2 people (we finished with about 14min left), but likely smoother with groups of 4+ (And they do have merch!)

Gameplay

Some fun puzzles, several standard ones but some I hadn’t seen before!

Atmosphere

Set was high quality and immersive. They even send you a themed playlist beforehand to get you in the mood for the room!

Host & GM were great

Particularly interesting or different

Yes

The immersive quality alone makes it worthwhile, as well as some unique puzzle styles

Story

Very fun story, with an enjoyable intro video in particular!

Difficulty

Easy

Would be very doable for a group of 4+ players. We were a group of 2 so the amount of puzzles made it feel a bit more difficult in terms of ground to cover (but not hard)

Rating: 3.5/5 - Easy room with some fun elements Set looked great and was well decorated to fit the theme, it was immersive enough with multiple rooms to explore. The puzzles were more beginner oriented so it's an easier room. There were more padlocks than TEG's other rooms but there were still a lot of tech based triggers mixed in. One skill based challenge (similar to what you would play at a carnival) was super fun and I've yet to see it done elsewhere even after 150+ rooms. Bright flashlights were provided which were very helpful. The two staff members I interacted with were incredibly friendly and helpful. The only downside is that TEG has public rooms, but you can try booking last minute or the earliest or latest time slots. I was told elsewhere that you can also try calling to request a private game during off-peak times but I personally haven't tried it at this location. I played this solo and finished with almost 15 min left. I would recommend 1-3 enthusiasts, it will be too easy with 4. My personal ranking of TEG's games from multiple locations starting with my favorite: 1. Cosmic Crisis 2. Ruins: Forbidden Treasure 3. Playground 4. Timeliner: Train Through Time 5. Prison Break 6. The Depths 7. Special Ops: Mysterious Market 8. Gold Rush 9. The Heist 10. Mission Mars

I parked a few blocks away on the street, but there is a parking garage around the corner. There will be very limited parking if there is a big event or game going on at the same time.

This was the first room I got to play with The Escape Game. It was a really interesting room and very emersion. I love a room that hands you a flashlight and makes you get started. The opening puzzle was amazing and the manner which you move from one room to the next was so much fun. I'll say that I do hate puzzles that make you find things in a very broad area. It makes the puzzle very challenging, but also super easy to make mistakes... I wouldn't let that detract from.doing the room. This one was a lot of fun, just try it with a group not a duo!

Gameplay

Only 1 puzzle was annoying.

I only saw street parking, but I walked there, so I'm not 100% sure.
