Le Palais De L'horreur [The Funhouse]

After the magic show, we couldn't leave the City of Martyrs without a trip to the Funhouse first. Sadly, it was closed, and a mad, blind clown was roaming its halls. This was a pretty classic room, with a menace trying to get you, and you staying away. We have still not played a bunch of horror rooms, but really liked this one. Because the "rules" are very clear, I think this is a great room to play if you are dipping your toes into horror. Great interactions, and fun actor segments made this one stand out for me. Some good puzzles, but they were not the focus of the experience.

Just wow… most live action experience I have experienced, the perfect continuation of the magician. Very scary, but at no point do you feel in danger, anybody that gave this room a negative review should not have signed up for a horror theme. The magician and the funhouse are easily the top 2 rooms we have ever completed!

Immersive experience, need to be somewhat able bodied, to crouch down and crawl. Puzzles were pretty straightforward. The environment was great and was very scary to me. Be prepared for an experience!

I ended up tapping out halfway through. First time ever. The puzzles are totally do-able but your brain gets overwhelmed with epinephrine with the live actors who are chasing you. It just ended up being less fun than I wanted it to be. However I would still highly recommend due to the to the super high quality theatrics and set up

After playing the magician for the first time, I let myself be tempted by the full experience bringing together the brand's two rooms. I was curious to see what the transition would be that would bring together a magic room and a horror room, and I was not disappointed! Thrills and anxiety guaranteed! We find ourselves immersed in a story that gives us the impression of playing in a horror film. The actors are very good and take us into their world at a disconcerting speed! The mechanisms, the puzzles, the settings... nothing is left to chance. It’s genius! Quickly a third room!!! One thing is certain, it is that the city of martyrs has many surprises in store for us!
