Gold Rush

This room was totally amazing! I can see why we've been told it's a staple at many locations of this company!!! The theming was really well done, I appreciated the fact that it was a multi-level room where you go up and down. It really felt like we were moving from scenario to scenario as opposed to just going from one closet to another. I thought that there were a lot of really unique puzzles, some that require more interaction than you normally get in rooms corporate locations. This is a big plus for anybody who has played more than a couple of games anywhere and is looking for something slightly more challenging. I know that it's touted as a lower difficulty level, but I'd argue that it was more challenging than several of the other games we've played at The Escape Game. Or at least the puzzles were better, so it felt more difficult than games that reuse the same sort of puzzles over and over. 10/10 would recommend!!!

This game is so so cool. The set is crazzzzyyy cool and I love the multi tiers to this game. Feels so complex but simple at the same time

It was very fun! The gameplay was great, and the story was too. The introduction video was on point, so everybody in my group could understand the room. The design of the room was very good too! Very immersive! I love an escape room that includes multiple rooms, this one did! It really felt like you was in a mine! The puzzles was alright, some locks but also some more creative. The room itself was super fun- however I do have issues with some of the tardiness policy at this location. I understand this is a shared experience and we had 2 people who were booked with us and they were late. We started the room (after giving them a 5 min grace time) and they came in when we had 45 min left on the clock and completed the first portion of the room already. When they arrived it was extremely disruptive. The burden was on us to catch them up and wasting time on the clock to do so. If this location forces a shared experience, there needs to be stricter policies to allow for everyone to enjoy what they paid for. They should not have let them in the room 15 mins after the clock started and this ruined the experience for everyone as they demanded for us to catch them up and ruined the flow of the game.

Much like all the rooms with this company the room was fun and felt like it followed a logical progression. We only needed 1 hint and that was because we had the right answer but didn’t line up the lock correctly. 🤦‍♀️ Did this room with another group and it was a good balance. There was one puzzle that required more math than I prefer but we figured it out.

well themed room, fun puzzles, cute production design. lots of locks and mechanical puzzles + a few near impossible clues, but overall a very nice room. would love to see what this room would be like in a space twice as big with a few more special effects. i tend to find the final “you escaped” climax to be … anticlimactic, and i wish this ended with more of a 💥bang💥 2nd fave room of this location behind playground

I loved the atmosphere, loved the puzzles, and there were some great surprises too. I’m curious to see how much more I would’ve liked this at a different branch, because the NYC Escape Game is very compact, but even still it was so fun!!

I have now done four rooms at The Escape Game and this is my second favorite room with them. Lots of exciting twists and turns and enough puzzles to keep a group busy. The theming was also nice!
