You’re trapped in a temple following an adventurer's trail—and finding the treasure is the only way out. Archibald Tucker was one of the greatest explorers of the 1930s. His tales of adventure were known the world over and his prized journal documented every adventure. In fact, he uncovered a treasure so rare, no man alive had seen it! But a sudden gust of wind slammed the temple door shut - sealing Tucker and his journal inside and both were never seen again. Now armed with the latest technology, your research points you to the exact whereabouts of the lost journal which holds the secrets to finding the treasure and you’ve brought all the materials essential for your adventure. However, once you’re inside, angered spirits awaken and deem you unworthy of the riches held within…Now, as a test, they grant you 60 minutes to prove your worth.

56 escape rooms

My team was disappointed with this room. The theme seemed really cool, which is what interested me personally. Unfortunately, the immersion is broken by noise from other rooms, several puzzle elements did not work as intended, the puzzle flow and mechanics were frustrating, and several things seem to be different from the images provided above. I have played other Escapology games and enjoyed them, but this one fell short.

Gameplay

Unclear puzzle flow, with some puzzles that had unnecessary/extra elements. One puzzle did not really work out, we had to guess at the answers, and our GM could not remember how it was supposed to work either. Several unclear puzzles.

Atmosphere

The room (at least this one at Pigeon Forge) does not totally look like the images above, so they may have changed some aspects of the room recently. We could also hear a lot from the neighboring rooms, especially the notification noise from the hint systems, which was distracting and took away from the immersion

Story

The story kind of had a goal, but was still forgettable

Difficulty

Medium

It is advertised as an easy/easier room, but the unclear puzzle flow and confusing puzzle mechanics, in addition to the many unused aspects of the puzzles, made it frustrating and harder than it should have been

Was anything broken?

No

Not broken per se, but perhaps worn. One puzzle did not really work as intended, and at one point we opened a door but it did not pop/swing open as it should have, so it was unclear if we actually solved the puzzle; we eventually had to pry it open at the encouragement of the GM

Fun escape room! Easy flow and the order of operations was pretty clear. Room decor was nice. Made it out with no hints with a lot of time left with just two of us. I'd say it's on the easier side of escape rooms that I've done. There was one novel part of the room that was pretty neat, the rest of the puzzles were standard escape room stuff. I'd come back to try another room, but probably for a harder option.

This is a great room for a smaller group that is new to escape rooms. The set design is done well and the puzzles were unique and engaging. Nothing mind blowing here but it was a great overall experience. If you are a veteran this will be a little too easy.

This escape room is an excellent choice for first-timers, families, or anyone who has only tried a couple of escape rooms before. The puzzles are straightforward and beginner-friendly, with clear connections that make solving them enjoyable and approachable. If you're new to escape rooms, starting here at Escapology is a great idea. However, if you're an experienced player who has completed many rooms, this one might not offer the level of challenge you're looking for, so you might want to skip it.

We really liked this room. The props were good and the puzzles were interesting. Our game master was helpful when needed which wasn't often but they gave us a little nudge when we were stuck on a certain puzzle for too long
