The Haunted House

I went in a bit unsure about the Haunted House based on limited reviews but it turned out to be my absolute favourite experience to date at the Mystery Rooms! The room itself had such an interesting layout, a great variety of puzzles, and an engaging atmosphere that didn’t lean too hard into needless and empty scares. We escaped reasonably quickly but that’s more of a reflection on the wonderful flow of the puzzles which added moments of multi-linearity seamlessly, even including a really cool bonus puzzle at the end. All of the tech went off without a hitch and the narrative is present throughout which kept us with a clear objective for the entire experience. A big recommendation from me if you’re in the area, shoutout to Ariel and the team who were awesome as always!

Coming into the tail end of our Mystery Rooms Fitzroy experiences we maybe came into this one underestimating it a little. The room was however, a pleasant surprise with a good flow, a clear objective and a fun range of puzzles to work through. The room had its fair share of scary moments inside of what was a really well designed set. There were a couple of things that were remnants of the room that this one replaced but nothing that threw us off. Overall a very satisfying room that is up there with the best of the horror style escapes in Melbourne right now.

Creepy af, but enjoyable. The rooms here are created with care and they all intertwine with one another in the end. Would recommend.
