Dragon Castle

One of the things I respect a great deal about Ultimate Xscapes is how they custom build each one of their rooms. They don’t license or buy games from Escape room companies which I respect. Dragon Castle is one of such rooms built in house and its themed after GOT. Huge game of thrones fan so I enjoyed the references to the show. Moderate difficulty room with puzzles flowing fairly together although one puzzle left me scratching my head (One of those puzzles you could interpret in 10 different ways). It was later explained and I could see how it was logical but at first glance was a bit esoteric. It was fun playing this room nevertheless and I learned some new things. Wish we could have had a soundtrack or game of thrones music- it would have been incredibly immersive with that element. (Perhaps I should have played on my phone 😂) Shout out to owner Kimberly for being such a welcoming host!

A love of Game of Thrones and fantasy was evident in the room (although don’t rely too much on GOT knowledge). There puzzles were a lot of fun to solve and fit the theme super well. This room would be right up the alley of anyone who enjoys fantasy and dragons in general.

I have been to more then a dozen escape rooms in DE, NJ, and PA. This one takes the cake! We did the Dragon Castle and in the first ten minutes there was a puzzle solution that is now #1 on my list of neat physical solutions to a puzzle! The rest of the room was excellent quality. The entire room sucked you into the theme very well. The quality of props, puzzle pieces, and decorations were fantastic. The pacing was just right, the puzzles were the perfect difficulty. You were never overwhelmed with things you didn't need to use yet. I think the best part was that this was not just a room of keys and locks, there were physical puzzles which were outstanding! We were a smaller group, my two pre-teens who had a few escape rooms of lesser quality under their belt, and their newbie Grandma. Everyone had a blast! Can't wait to try the other rooms.

A good fun room with a medium difficulty. Definitely fun and creative with a good mix of puzzle/clue/lock types. Will definitely be back to do the other room.

Genuinely enjoyed this room. Almost everything was very well clued, nothing required any huge logical leaps or cypher knowledge or math skills. Honestly a great beginner room, played with two others as their first game and it was very easy for them to get into the swing of things with very little need to nudge them toward solutions. Nothing special, no really unique mechanics or design, very bland room, but still a solid experience. Also, everything worked, which is always nice.

This was a pretty solid room with good puzzles and a decent theme. The opening area is a little tight, so I'd keep the number of players to 4 or less, but the second room opens up nicely. The range of puzzles is really interesting and challenging, while staying with the theme of the room. This is not an introductory room, but it's great fun!

I would give it 3.5 out of 5 stars. Innovative puzzles, but some of the opened locations need to be more obvious. Also would be nice to add a bit more into later part of the game.

Good, solid room. My one complaint was that it was drilled into our heads not to touch stuff with certain labels on them and I got paranoid and missed something b/c I didn't want to touch it and get in trouble. More my own demons, I guess. Our GM Alexander was nice and always had a good comeback for some of our smart-ass comments.

The escape room had a moderately good production value, especially for what I think is a local place. Game master was a little robotic, but at least the hints were helpful! The game was a little too easy, though, so I feel like we ran through it either too quickly or there wasn't enough content. Don't worry if you don't know anything about Game of Thrones, though - it requires no prior knowledge of the series!
