It’s the turn of the century, and you’re invited to a race of giant steam machines! You’ll be the crew responsible for keeping the machine running, while your pilot guides you through the race. You’ll only have an hour to make it to the finish line! You can choose how difficult you’ll want your race, easy, medium, or hard.

Solid steam powered room! It’s not a big room, but it’s densely packed with puzzles. The room is entirely linear, and you are in regular communication with the GM for your next task/puzzle. The whole point of the room is solving enough puzzles in order to move the progress bar so that you win the steam race. You can choose your own preferred difficulty, and the GM adjusts it as necessary. I don’t know what changes between difficulty, but we chose hard and got out with 8 minutes left as a team of 2. I think we saw everything there was to see there too. Overall, a fun room as long as you aren’t expecting anything crazy technological advances or jaw dropping in terms of sets or immersion. It’s purely about the puzzles, steam punks!

The owner here is super nice. This wasn't my favorite room at the location. Really cool set design, but I found the fact that the puzzles were very self-contained to be a negative. It lets the GM control the difficulty, but it also means you need to work on only one thing at a time, and it's easy to identify what you need to do because of that

Just a plain fun room. The set design is just adequate and there isn’t anything groundbreaking gameplay-wise, but don’t let that stop you from checking this room out. Even though the set design and puzzle integration into the set was just ok, many little touches improved the immersion of the room such as a time period appropriate hint system and countdown timer. There was a good mix of tasks and puzzles of varying levels of difficulty, and all steps taken were totally logical. The puzzles were also pretty creative and were satisfying to solve. They weren’t just puzzles plastered on to the set, but most were logical steps you’d take if you were actually in the story. The room was almost exclusively linear, which is usually not my preference, but it still flowed well enough. Overall, I would recommend this room to groups of 2-3 at any experience level.

Story was integrated into the experience pretty well. It was more than puzzles in a room and your team performed tasks as if you were actually in the situation.

We did the “Hard” out of easy, medium, and hard difficulties that you could choose from. It was a moderate difficulty.
