A woman named Josie has recently passed away, leaving behind a storage room filled with decades of collected memories and cryptic secrets. Remnants of her entire life are all here in one place - left for you to discover. As a young girl growing up in the 1960s, Josie was gifted a tape recorder and began documenting every part of her life. But in her old age, she has become almost unrecognizable, warped by the tragic events of her past. The Nest is an intimate, live experience for two audience members at a time, combining elements of immersive theater, narrative video games, serialized podcasts, and escape rooms into a new way to experience a story. Equipped with a flashlight, search through personal effects, explore your surroundings, and listen to audio cassettes to piece together the dramatic narrative of Josie's life.

This was a unique experience. I’ve heard a lot about this room, mostly that it’s not an escape room and that it’s best with smaller groups. Those were definitely true. We followed the story of Josephine, the previous owner of a storage unit we now own. Her story unfolds as we explored further into the storage unit. It’s not meant to be scary but it can be eery with how dark the space was with some lighting here and there and with only one flashlight. The assignment was straight forward. We had to keep reminding ourselves to take a back seat on the usual ER routine to avoid overthinking it. There’s definitely a lot of junk to explore but not enough to get lost in it. The set design was clutter-fantastic. They made clutter look good. This was a very heart felt experience! I would love to explore another storage unit!!! Can you make a scary or mystery one?

First off let me say, what an experience. Definitely not your average escape room (which it’s not, they say that right off the bat) but I think that’s what makes it my favorite room to date. Absolutely incredible. 10/10.

WOW- This was legitimately awe-inspiring to me. This is one of my favorite experiences I’ve ever done, and the team only made it better! This is clearly a labor of love. To be very clear: this is NOT an escape room. They say it a bunch basically everywhere, but if you’re still in doubt, listen to someone who’s done it! If you are looking for a fun time with your friends solving puzzles, this is not it. If you’re prepared for a beautiful, contemplative story in an immersive and well-produced environment, you will be thrilled. I went alone at 9pm with a long car ride home, and I was grateful to have the time to process afterwards. If you go as a group, go with people you know REALLY well. While I technically did not cry, it would have seriously subtracted from the experience if I had been worried about holding it together for someone else. With that giant disclaimer out of the way, this was beautiful. If you’re interested in storytelling and immersion in themed entertainment like I am, this is a must-see. It felt like a real-life Gone Home or What Remains of Edith Finch. I get that walking sims aren’t for everyone, but if they appeal to you, you should absolutely experience The Nest!

🫳. Definitely unique, but a bit lack-luster imo. Had some really cool elements to it though, don't go into it expecting too much. One thing that really pissed me off, we called and specifically asked if they offered back to back booking discounts or a discount for bday. They said no they don't do it when I finally got through, (mind you they never even responded to the email. They sort of in a snooty way forward any inquiries over to their email per their recording) then after we'd paid full price for both rooms booked same day, we get an email from their system with repeat booking discounts for the rooms we'd already played... lame.

Very different. Very story based. Sets the stage, but definitely relies on the imaginations of the people playing. My wife and I agree, we are glad to have done it once, was a really intriguing experience that had us talking for an hour about deep things afterwards. BUT, we wouldn’t really want to do it again. Was overly depressing, leaving the participant in too much unresolved sadness IMHO. I knew I was going into a sad experience and was kind of excited to dive deep, but found the story beats to be overly unresolved, simplistic, and the resolution to be undercooked. Still, a compelling and unique experience that is refreshing in an overly saturated mediocre puzzle-room space.

I completed this experience with my best friend, and we absolutely loved it! The Nest definitely has elements of an escape room, which had us fully immersed and constantly exploring our surroundings. The story was captivating, and the room design was incredibly thoughtful. We appreciated the emotional depth, the attention to detail, and the balance between puzzle-solving and storytelling. It was a unique, moving experience that stood out from any other escape room we've done.
