Lincoln Park Prison

Rating 3/5: Large set, looks and feels like a prison, but puzzles feel dated Pros: ➕ Set looked decent enough, had the right vibes for a prison ➕ Lots of space to move around, multiple rooms to explore ➕ 90 min felt appropriate due to the density of puzzles, it didn't feel rushed. ➕ Puzzles fit the theme, they was decent variety, most were moderately challenging, nothing was illogical or annoying. ➕ Some special effects ➕ Exciting ending, particularly for one person ➕ Non-linear, most of the team can work on different puzzles and stay busy Could be better: ➖ Noticeable wear and tear on set and props ➖ One of the few tech interactions wasn't working, GM had to come in to bypass. ➖ Reset error, an item was in the wrong box. ➖ A lot of lockboxes, padlocks, and reading laminated notes. Some basic tech (buttons/switches, maglocks) but not a lot. ➖ There are a lot of prison rooms and this one doesn't do much to stand out from a puzzle and set standpoint. I recommend 4-5 players (one interaction requires 4) , no crawling or climbing required. I do not think this room falls into the "spooky" territory. There were no jump scares, gore, ghosts, etc.

I love a good 90 minute escape room! It feels like you’re really able to enjoy the experience without feeling as pressured. This escape room is definitely more old-school using a lock and key model, though it doesn’t disappoint! The set is very immersive, and there’s always something to be doing. It has riddles and clues for all people to be working on. I also felt like we really had to work together as a team and communication was helpful! Definitely a solid escape room in Michigan.

I really enjoyed this room! First off I appreciated the design and aesthetic of room. I also like how the room flowed overall. We had 7 people and we were all busy the entire time. There was a good range of difficulty of puzzles. Some of the puzzles were on the easier side but there are a couple tougher ones that took a little bit of time. I also liked that this room is 90 minutes.

Well designed set with a lot of clever puzzles. We had the best time! Can't wait to come back and do the rest of their rooms.

This is one of my favorite rooms that I have done to date. It was a memorable experience for sure. Good mix of tech and lock/key. The special effects at this location always make for a good time. This was my first 90 min room and it was definitely worth it.

Such a great escape room! It’s awesome that it’s 90 minutes. Such a cool atmosphere with special effects. Lots of puzzles and quite difficult! The GM was very nice and so excited for us because we set the new record! Do a lot of escapes before you try this one and a bigger group is better, but once you’re ready it’s a blast! I can’t wait to do the other rooms at this location.

EXCELLENT room. Minimum number was four players, we went in with four experienced. There's multiple rooms that flowed really well, with a few back and forth things (which I enjoy, others may not). It was enough to do and semi-non linear puzzles so everyone was generally busy at all times and felt like they had plenty to do and weren't left out at all. Owner is very pleasant. They also have a cat!!

My friends and I completed this room with ~25 minutes to spare! Difficulty was moderate in our opinion. Very fun room with engaging special effects and a greatly executed theme! Hosts were super kind and welcoming as well Highly recommend for a great holistic experience!

My group was invited to beta test this room before it officially opened. There were a few kinks to work out, but it was an AMAZING room!! Highly recommend!
