Find the Inheritance The 1800s California gold rush was a time when just about anyone could get lucky with a fortune. No one knew this better than your recently deceased relative, Clyde Hamilton. Though he’s since passed, the prospector left behind quite a pretty penny in gold. As his surviving next of kin, he’s offered you a chance to claim the gold fortune as an inheritance for yourself…if you can find it! You’ve only got 60 minutes to get into Clyde’s cabin and take the gold stash before news of the fortune reaches other greedy ears in town…

38 escape rooms

My review may be a little skewed because the escape game will pair you with other people if you do not have a large enough party (we had four people, and they had another three join our party) our room was joined with a 10-year-old who we wanted to make sure they had a good time and was able to help so it made it a little bit more difficult for us to solve it quickly. The overall structure of the game was very cool with its multilevel design. We enjoyed the overall gameplay as well.

Gameplay

Honestly, all of the escape games have great rooms. There were a few aspects in this game that I felt lacking compared to their other rooms. But it definitely was done well.

Atmosphere

The escape game does amazing when it comes to set design and this is no different. It felt like you were in an actual forest with a cabin, which is amazing.

Customer service

The game Masters are very helpful and know when help is needed.

Particularly interesting or different

Yes

The “cabin in the woods” design is an incredible unique, and the escape game is the only place that I’ve been able to do it.

Story

The escape game is really good with their overall story design to make sure that you know you have a reason for being there.

Difficulty

Medium

It’s hard to judge, since we had a child in there helping us which made it a little bit more difficult for us to self quickly, but every aspect that we did was relatively easy to solve.

Game tech

High tech

I will always say that the escape game is more high-tech than mechanical.

Ideal number of players

3

We had seven in our game. I would say that this is fun and doable with around three.

Scary

Not scary

It’s definitely not a scary game. It gets dark in some places so I would say that if you have a fear of the dark, it may be a little spooky for you.

Minimum age

10

The game is definitely child friendly as we played it with a 10-year-old and she had a good time and was able to help in the gameplay.

Was anything broken?

No

The escape game is very good at making sure that all of their components worked properly.

Live actors

No

Other than the game master, no

Physically active

Somewhat

There’s a lot of walking and there are stairs that you have to do as well.

Accessibility

A little less than most of their games since there are dark areas that affect the visually impaired, and there are stairs with no other way around for physically, handicapped people.

Easy to find location

Yes

They have a large sign outside.

Parking

Limited

This is in the heart of Gatlinburg, which already has a huge problem finding parking so I will definitely say get there a bare minimum of 45 minutes or so before your game because parking is gonna take probably 20 to 30 minutes to find.
