This was a very fun and exciting game! The set design was fabulous and the tasks were very novel for me. The Escape Game has really mastered set design - this was our fourth room with them and we have been wowed with each one ("The Depths" was my favorite even though we did not successfully escape that one). I really loved how our group was split into two cells at the beginning and how we had to work together to reunite. This was my 16th game (12W-4L) so I consider myself a novice. Our group was composed of seven players with similar statistics (5 adults, 2 tweens) and I thought this was a hard game. We received a couple of hints and escaped by the skin of our teeth (17 sec). The last task was funny.
The story and game flowed VERY well. The set was very authentic... er, I mean, I think it was... I've never actually been in prison.
Two thumbs up for the set design, props and puzzles!
All of the staff at The Escape Game are friendly and welcoming.
Particularly interesting or different
Yes
This was our first prison-themed game. I felt like I was in "The Shawshank Redemption"
I really like the plot and set design.

I prefer mechanical rooms, so this was perfect for me. There were a few high tech aspects, but more mechanical.
Because you're split into two different rooms at the beginning, you need at least two players, but I think playing with only two would be very difficult. If you're an advanced player you could play with three or four. Novices (like me) should bring five or six. There are plenty of puzzles to go around.
Our youngest players were 10 & 12
Everything was in tip-top condition.
Physically active
Somewhat
There is crawling, kneeling, throwing, aiming, etc.
Accessibility
There is crawling involved, but perhaps the company has a way around this part. There are small areas so wheelchairs might have troubles. There are visual and tactile puzzles too.
We took the Green trolley to the Gaslamp stop and it was an easy one block walk from the station.
Parking
IDK, probably expensive. We took the Green trolley ($2.50) to the Gaslamp stop and it was an easy one block walk from the station.
