In 11S Escape room, we rewind to September 11, 2001. A day marked in the memory of the whole world. The news of the attack on the twin towers in New York crossed borders and made the world remain stunned and in disbelief of what was happening. The United States of America, the first world power at that time, had been attacked in the heart of their country. New York was facing what was going to be the darkest day in its history, every New Yorker has what happened on 9/11, or 9/11, as they call it, etched in stone. At Open Mind Room Escape we have dared to remember and remember this fateful day. Stories of heroes and people, who without a doubt, should not be forgotten. Are you ready to live this day in first person?

Our fifth room of our Escape Tour in Spain. 11s by Openmind Escape Room is a gripping experience that pays tribute to the events of 9/11. While the puzzles are on the simpler side, the immersion is exceptional and intense, with a unique ending that sets it apart. The experience is quite physical, adding to the intensity. Our host, Ellie, was incredible—fully in character during the game and wonderfully attentive afterward, providing detailed explanations and care. Perfect for both new and experienced players. Highly recommended!
Ellie was really into the role and was a super host at the end.

Amazing amazing room, so much detail and different challenges with an emotional ending

We were reluctant to do this room due to the obvious sensitivity of the topic but were really surprised and glad we did it. The experience was jarring at some point… but almost therapeutic to be present. Some aspects allow you to potentially “see or feel” what a survivor may have felt. It can get dark but it’s no different from movies imitating real events… this is just more immersive. I think it’s worth checking out for sure especially because of how much respect this group has for honoring the 9/11 tragedy, the victims, its survivors, and their loved ones.
This was amazing with both awe and shock in how accurate and dedicated to theming the space was.
Ellie was sooooooo sweet, passionate, invested in the story, and committed. She’s the best and so professional
Hard
The puzzles were certainly challenging but mostly required some agility

An incredibly well constructed room with a high attention to detail. The scope of what they built is impressive. The puzzles are as thematic as possible, particularly in the beginning and ending. There is a wide variety of tasks to complete including numerous cooperative elements. The "museum" in the end was interesting but took way too long. Also not a fan of having items on display which are meant to look like genuine artifacts but are not - apart from the sunglasses, apparently. I recommend playing with only 2 or 3 people due to narrow spaces and puzzle types. Overall, a very worthwhile experience
45 mins debrief! A bit too long, even though well intentioned

Tratan la temática con total respeto. Una sala con mucho sentido y pruebas bastante diferentes y entretenidas.

(Sorry for my English) Don’t know what to think about this room. If we have to rate the room on the escape game aspect only : a lot of padlocks (in the middle of some interesting manipulations and some nice effects/decors) we are therefore in a good room. On the other side, we have history, and the fact of paying tribute to the victims and firefighters of this tragic event which took place on September 11, 2001. That said, the atmosphere is however very particular, the soundtracks are real screams from archives... our mind finds itself at several moments completely disturbed by the emotion felt at the moment. In reality, with such a subject in front of us, we have no desire to have fun solving puzzles or playing... the intention is very good, but we end up wondering if the escape game is the best way to convey this message. We end the adventure in a blood-curdling tribute room, before the GM arrives to explain to us the few stories relating to the images we find on the wall. It was therefore a good escape game room, with puzzles that could be improved, which shares an essential duty of memory but perhaps not in the best way. But don't we say that the end justifies the means?

Elliell was a great game master. Her acting was on point, and handled this sensitive topic with the utmost respect and grace. Thus far, this is my favorite escape room our group has done in Spain by far.
