Overall fun, and the sets are top notch. It's like being in the movie. The actors do a fantastic job, and really make the experience. Many of the puzzles are pretty hard, made harder by the fact that they don't really belong in the It universe. Those that do fit are tons of fun, but the ones that don't make you think, "Why does It care about door keypad codes?" You can tell the actors that you want an easy experience and they will give you lots of hints, and then you can just enjoy being part of the It universe for an hour.

12 escape rooms

It was really fun! Not really a classic escape room, it’s very much an interactive experience. Each room felt very different from each other and like another moment ripped straight from the movie. Unlike the saw room it didn’t feel like the characters were feeding the answers to us. I think the puzzles were fun and I had a good time

Gameplay

It was a lot of fun! Most of the puzzles felt pretty good- they do pair you with strangers if you don’t get VIP and oftentimes there’s not enough for everyone to do at once

Atmosphere

The set design was amazing, the lighting and visual cues were great, the characters were fun- it was a great time

Customer service

At the end you learn the real names of the people playing the characters you saw, they introduce themselves and ask if you have any questions about the puzzles or anything- we had Kayla and she was great! Fun in character, and nice to all the guests at the end out of character.

Particularly interesting or different

Yes

It’s certainly a bit of a walkthrough- it’s not always about puzzles, sometimes it’s about experiencing what’s going on around you. Moments where it’s not so much about deduction but just teamwork on a task you already know what to do on

Story

The story was good! I didn’t really feel lost at any point

Difficulty

Medium

Some puzzles were a little confusing but overall a lot of what you had to do felt like “oh yeah, obviously”

Game tech

High tech

Lots of lighting and sound effects, fog, and the ending felt a little high tech

Ideal number of players

6

I imagine it’s possible to do alone with a lot of running around, but having a few people is probably a good idea. Too many people though and there are rooms where some people don’t do anything

Scary

Spooky

I mean there’s some jumpscare moments and you see It a few times but ultimately it’s not bad unless you specifically have a pretty bad fear of clowns

Minimum age

12

I do think most kids under 12 might be a little spooked, but admittedly there was a kid in the group we were paired with that seemed to be younger and he did amazingly. Obviously it’s up to your group what you feel your kid can handle

Was anything broken?

No

Nothing seemed to be broken

Live actors

Yes

The live actors were great. Certain actions are most likely scripted in but it all felt very natural with how they were acting

Physically active

Somewhat

Someone’s gotta crawl, but really only one person. You might need to do a little back and forth walking but overall it isn’t much

Accessibility

They said it’s wheelchair accessible- I think at least one person in your party needs to be able to hear and understand the character with you for certain events. I don’t think anything color related ever is necessary in this room. There were moments where the fog was so thick you couldn’t see a foot in front of you, which may be a hazard for some

Easy to find location

Yes

Says ‘Derry public works facility’ out front with a big capitol theater sign

Parking

Easy

seems to be ample parking for the amount of people they schedule for each time. We did Uber but the parking lot seemed pretty empty

Genuinely one of the scariest rooms i’ve ever done. The puzzles were well done and didn’t feel like an after thought. Aidan, Chandler, Frankie made it such an incredible experience and I think this is a must do if you’re in Vegas

This was a great experience. Not an escape room at all, but a big group experience based on the movie. I enjoyed it, and I think that if you enjoy fun set decor, and especially if you enjoy IT, you will find this one fun. Lot's of great acting as well, which made it better.

Very intense with epic production quality - I was stunned by the quality of the sets. I don't like horror movies, but it felt like I was in one from the first moment. It was definitely out of my comfort zone, but I'm glad I did it. We were 3, but with more it'd be less intense (but there may also be moments where some are standing around watching the others do puzzles.) This "part 1" is a better escape room and way scarier than part 2 (Fun House), but this side was "all dark, all the time", so it felt a bit more one note to me, as opposed to part 2 which had notes of levity mixed in. That said, you'll probably play them both, and this is the one to start with unless you want to ease your way into them with the less scary or the two (in that case do Fun House first). I had the "honor" (horror) of being singled out about 2/3 of the way for an intense moment. But it was also the most single memorable moment of all of this company's games.

Gameplay

Brilliant flow story wise, but inconsistent timing per room given the format of staggered entry. The puzzles are easy enough that it's unlikely you'll be pushed through before you solve them, but they will start giing you bigger hints as your time is running out for an area. For the most difficult puzzle (about 4 rooms in) we needed a hint, and we missed one puzzle altogether which the actor had to do for us... In this single case, the tipoff for the puzzle must come vocally from the actor, but I wasn't paying attention because we were playing hard mode (no clues given unless asked). Another oddity: about halfway through, the actor told us to look for a key that actually didn't exist. We found out later, we had been going so fast that they needed to stall us by not triggering the puzzle we had already solved - otherwise we would've run into the prior group.

Atmosphere

Truly immersive in a dark way... I would've liked less realism in certain portions 😬

You’re doing this escape room for the novelty, not because it’s a good escape room. Most of the time the “clues” don’t make sense. The GM just tells you what to look at - there’s no logic.

A must do if you’re a Pennywise fanatic like I am! I was teleported in to the story and the incredible set design and interactions really brought it all to life. Don’t be scared, we all float down here.
