these folks don’t miss. this is a really cool, singular idea with a lot of magic. we had a buzzer-beater photo finish w/ 3 of us (1 who we just met that night), but we got 2 correction hints (for puzzles we understood but executed wrong), so it wasn’t clean, but i didn’t have the heart to tell our game master not to give unsolicited hints this time, so it wasn’t their fault.

Beware if you have allergies to common fragrances, but the staff was super helpful and nice and got it sorted for us. Just make sure you ask. Super, super, super nice place and great room with amazing staff.

This is one of those rooms where I kept thinking that I knew EXACTLY what to do on a puzzle...and it turns out I didn't. Close, but no cigar. Happened on a few of them and I'm quite honestly unsure whether myself or the clueing needed a little work. It was probably me because I still found the room enjoyable, although it lacked the ending satisfaction of a TRULY excellent room. The theme was novel, the GMs were awesome, and although I'm not a big fan of the written clue system, this was probably the best I've seen it done. I enjoyed The Bird a lot more (did not get to do any other rooms) but this is worth playing too.

Of all the 3 rooms, found this to be the easiest (and shortest) by far. We finished the room in 34 minutes with our group of 5, no hints, and we were told by our GM that it was a top 5 performance for Mysstic rooms, for which we felt honored. I did remember saying out loud after finishing the room, “That’s it?” which betrayed a sense of disappointment in myself wishing there was more I guess. With that said, lest I sound like I’m complaining, some really creative and beautiful set design that added to an immersive and fairly satisfying experience. This one is a decent heart rating for me. Surprised however to see this above The Bird for finalist in TERPECA 2025. 🤷♂️

Amazing room, especially for anyone who enjoys theatre. There were several puzzles I had never seen before and I really enjoyed. There was one puzzle we got stuck on for a long time - we had the right idea, but there was one small caveat we kept missing, which wasn’t the easiest to understand based on the puzzle. After getting a nudge it was obvious what the solution was and I can see how we should’ve gotten there. The puzzles were all really interesting and unique. MyssTic definitely puts an emphasis into unique stories and immersion and it shows! I would recommend their rooms to anyone visiting NYC in a heartbeat.
There were some puzzles I really enjoyed and even some new ones I hadn’t seen before. I didn’t love the flow, but I wouldn’t say it was bad.
I absolutely loved the atmosphere. Really neat special effects and really immersive decor and puzzles

This was such a cool escape room. If you like theater, especially if you like backstage, you will really enjoy this room. If you could take or leave theater but enjoy escape rooms, this one had some really cool and creative elements that you’ll enjoy. It wasn’t too easy, but not too difficult either. I wouldn’t play this room with more than 4 players. It was perfect for 2 experienced players.
There were a lot of really unique puzzles that were very fun, especially if you like theater (and definitely if you’re used to working backstage)

There were a couple puzzles heavily based on color. Most of the doorways were pretty wide. It was dark in many places but they did allow and encourage use of flashlights.
