At last! The day has come! Your town’s skyline is incomplete without the confectionary cathedral that is the candy factory of Gerhardt Von Sweettüth. Nobody ever comes in, nobody ever comes out…until now. Sweettüth has stepped away for an hour, asking you to stay put. You don’t. You have one hour to explore the factory and figure out what makes his candy taste SO good. Can you crack this confectionary caper or will you find your visit everlastingly gobstopped?

A cute concept but we found ourselves very frustrated with the gameplay in this one.

Very narrowly avoids a thumbs down. Theming and most of the puzzles are solid, but the back end of this game is showing it’s age. A handful of tech should have been considered at some point in the past, as they were rather egregious on the day. Puzzles should always open the first time the correct combination is inputted; one puzzle in this game required three attempts. Items got stuck on two occasions, requiring GM assistance. Overall this was a mostly positive experience, and the GMs were skilled and happy to help. Bonds has stronger games, but if you really want an interesting take on the willy wonka story, choose this game with caution.
Gameplay
The puzzles were interesting, and incorporated some ideas not commonly seen in escape rooms. A few puzzles were underclued and one puzzle in particular seemed to lead us in the complete opposite direction from the intended solution.

Atmosphere
Everything felt on point on this room, and the play area felt large and well lived in.

Customer service
They accomplished the job well, and were able to be generous with their time and resources when the room broke down in places.

Story
The story was well told throughout the room, and was interesting to engage with. I do wish the middle section of the game led more directly into the story.

Difficulty
Medium
Might be easier for a larger group. One puzzle in particular was a little too sweet for our group to solve without a hint (IYKYK) but otherwise puzzles ranged from extremely simple to rather complex.

Was anything broken?
Yes
One object got stuck in an unreachable place, and another object was too dark to see. One puzzle didn’t operate on the first two attempts despite the correct code being inputted.

The design of this room was super cute. A chocolate factory on steroids! lol! Though, there was some darkness in the plot (kids are going missing!!) the rest of the room was really fun. I liked the tetris-like puzzle. There was another puzzle that was INCREDIBLY frustrating. I would go to this company again.
Gameplay
There was one puzzle that was INCREDIBLY frustrating. We were supposed to listen to clicks and then push buttons in a specific order, and it kept us locked up for ages. We had the right answer--ish--but had to get 2 "hints" on this one.

The plot involved a chocolate factory being evil... (and something to do with kids going missing?) But it's easy to ignore.

The game felt very run down and low budget. The murals and design elements were underwhelming. There is so much one can do with this theme, and they did not follow through.

This was our favorite room at the Arlington location along with the Castle. Game flow, puzzle design, and immersive set was all well integrated. One puzzle 🧩 gave our team of 2 a mighty challenge. But we prevailed :)
Gameplay
This room had the most puzzles 🧩 at Arlington. They were fun, unique, and challenging.

I had high hopes for this room, but everything in it was WAY overused, worn, falling apart, and kind of gross. My team definitely had fun, but a lot of the puzzles were pretty lame or just frustrating.

One of my least favorite escape rooms. Some of the props were so worn it was hard to do the puzzle. The props were also sticky? I love the concept but really disliked the puzzles
