Fascinated with rumors, conspiracy theories, and true crime podcasts, visitors make the pilgrimage to Ashland to visit the historical Rabbit’s Paw Inn. The power inside this building is a legend unto itself. Hoping to uncover a bit of truth to the stories of the occult and the infamous Ashland Witch, they stand where so many before have tried to bring these stories to fruition, and where others have lost their lives under mysterious circumstances. On this adventure, meet the current proprietors of the Inn and see if you have what it takes to commune with those that have passed on these grounds. Perhaps you’ll summon the spirits sacrificed to the Ashland Witch; or perhaps, you’ll see just what lies beyond the veil… and be left marked by the Witch herself.

As has been the case with most rooms at Red Vein, we left wanting more. We got hung up for awhile and were too stubborn to ask for a clue, but our group of four still had about 20 minutes left. The puzzles were decent. There were a couple of logic leaps that left us a bit frustrated. I also expected a scare factor which didn't exist, but I still wouldn't recommend the room for kids.

Extremely clever, very immersive, incredibly fun room. All the clues were there, but you really had to pay attention. If you find other rooms boring or too easy, this is the room for you.

6.7/10 This room begins as soon as you enter the building, from the concept and design to the owners and staff. The effort here is unmatched and truly makes you feel like you are entering the witches grounds. The room itself had an eerie feel, not too scary but definitely caught myself checking my shoulder every now and then. As you are taken into the room there was not ideal communication on when the game started, as in if we were allowed to go into the “lobby” of the hotel. This lead us to stumble through the beginning, not sure if we were breaking rules. As far as the puzzles go; the flow of the game is rough at times, especially when most of them are based off of one item in the room. With the dim lighting and our flashlight not working mid game, being able to read clues and written items was very difficult. The detail put into this room goes without notice from the amazing staff to the unbelievable props and decor used, we recommend playing Mark of the Witch if you are in the Richmond area looking for an immersive, spooky (not scary) experience!

The atmosphere was incredible! Had a good scare in the beginning. But the puzzles felt like they had a lot of leaps in logic. We were pretty confused for the first half of the game.

The atmosphere and set design were jaw dropping. Some puzzles had logic leaps and were quite confusing. The immersive and unique beginning was very fun.

Absolutely phenomenal build quality, such a treat to get to experience. Some of the earlier puzzles were a bit obtuse and warranted an early clue, but once we had momentum everything flowed incredibly well.
