We came in with high expectations for The Grand Parlor given all the rave reviews, and in many ways, it really delivered. The space is massive — multiple rooms, multiple levels — and the production value is top-notch. It’s one of the more visually impressive and creative rooms we’ve ever done. That said, we also found ourselves echoing what a few other reviewers have noted: the sheer volume of puzzles, many with multiple components and little clear direction, made it hard to know where to focus. Some early puzzles were actually gating progress, but it wasn’t obvious that they needed to be solved first, which meant we lost a lot of time working on things we couldn’t yet complete. A gentle nudge from the game master at that point would’ve made a big difference. We’ve done a ton of rooms and consider ourselves relatively experienced, but the early linearity paired with the overall non-linear feel left us a little frustrated at times. Once we did get past those early challenges, we felt like we were constantly racing the clock — and ended up needing more hints than we typically would’ve liked. We did escape, but the final stretch felt more like being guided through than solving it ourselves at times. All that said, the set design and creativity in the puzzles were phenomenal — there were definitely moments and mechanics we’d never seen before. With a bit more clarity upfront or a longer run time (75–90 minutes would make a lot of sense here), this would be an absolute all-time favorite. We still gave it a “Love” for the sheer scale and originality, but if you go, don’t be shy about asking for an early hint or two if you find yourself spinning your wheels.

Parlor has been on my wishlist to do for months now. Finally did it for my birthday, and boy does it live up to the hype. It’s a huge room perfect for 4-5 people with plenty to do for everyone. Not as spooky as their other rooms but you definitely get lost in the room. Communication is key to escaping under an hour. 13th hour is truly the best when it comes to rooms and I look forward to seeing what they do next!

this room is HARD simply because there are so many puzzles to get through. i did it with an expert group of 4 and we barely made it out with 4 seconds left on the timer. if we had 1-2 more people OR 15 more mins, i think we would’ve been able to enjoy our room a little bit more. the fact that we were given a clue in the first 5 min to keep us on track just shows what a challenge this room is for a small group. regardless, the size of the room and atmosphere were exciting. we were running around and got our cardio in!

Multiple levels and hidden things. Inspired by their haunts but set in such a way that it is a true escape room.
Difficult secrets.
Multiple floors and fun
Game masters accommodated by giving us some time for play and guiding us when we got very stuck.

It felt like a weird environment to be stuck in but the puzzles themselves and the game masters helped make it very engaging

After having done over 200 rooms, this still sits in my top two favorites (if not top) of all time. The magnitude and scale of the room was incredible, and the puzzles were very solid. Had some of the coolest animatronics I had seen until that point (though Wizard of Oz now has more). Still the standard to beat in NJ

I did this room with 3 people total including myself and wow it was tough! We managed to get out all of us have experience with escape rooms. The puzzle flow didn’t fully make sense to me but it was good and fun!

Another great room. This room is packed with puzzles, almost every one on theme and very well done, almost to the point of too many. Every one makes sense once you figure it out, however, there's so much to do. We had less than a minute remaining with 3 people at the end. Possibly with more, might be easier. Otherwise the atmosphere is great, and the overall puzzles are fantastic. Another win.
