We have done so many escape games. Over 50 and we like to do them in all the states we visit. We were super excited to visit escapology charlotte. We have done all the rooms at the pigeon forge location and they were top notch. We drove 2 hours to come here and also to see other places. Sooooooo disappointed in the antidote. We got out but not sure how. We worked on one puzzle for at least 10 minutes and kept asking for clues. We don't like to ask for clues and they did everything but do the puzzle for us. Turns out a piece was missing from the room. I told them how terrible the room was and we were actually going to do a 2nd room after this room but changed our mind and didn't want to waste our money. I really wanted to do the code in the first place and they offered this room free or our money back. We chose to do the room. This room was much better and looked like an actual escapology room. The only problem with this one was that when we got the final code with 7 minutes left we got out and noone was even there to say anything about the room or offer a picture like most escape games do. There was literally noone except hazel offered us some water and we just left. Definitely won't be back here. I think they were more focused on a birthday party that was going on. Escapology in pigeon forge and other escape games put this one to shame. Honestly not sure how this one gets 5 stars I would not recommend this room, but they did return our money.
It was very outdated and bland no excitement to the room pieces were missing
It was very unlike other escape. Algae rooms there was no detail given to it. Felt like no thought was put into it
The staff offered us another room for free. And we did the code, and when we escaped, there was no one there to greet us or offer pictures

You know, it had been a hot minute since I'd seen a straightforward lab based escape room that it made me feel a little nostalgic. Set design was ok (it's a lab and exactly that) but puzzles worked and flow was decent. They have better rooms like Pirates and of course, Scooby-Doo. We squeezed this one in as an unplanned add-on and had a good time.

Outdated and bland room. Very easy for enthusiasts.
Extremely linear, nothing overtly exciting.
Very bland, mop sink for the business literally in the room with you.
We had a great game master for our 3 room run.
Typical virus outbreak, oh no your team was clumsy and is now infected.
