You’re about to inherit a vast historic estate—if you can clear your name of murder. You are Robert Montgomerie, the only remaining direct heir to the Kildermorie Estate and the Montgomerie family fortune. You’re attending a family gathering hosted by your Grandfather, Hugh ‘Monty’ Montgomerie, the 9th Earl of Kildermorie, to celebrate the dawn of the new Millennium. As the guests raise a toast, a scream fills the air…and your Grandfather is found dead in the library. It looks like MURDER, and as the direct heir, all fingers are now pointed at you! Will hidden clues reveal distant family secrets? With the police on their way, can you gather enough evidence and piece the story together to provide your innocence? And the biggest challenge of all: Is it even remotely possible to solve the mystery before the clock strikes 12?

Nothing mattered in this room 😂 you dont have to find the killer, you don’t need to know the story, it’s just a mess 😂 I had a great time laughing at my partner’s reactions and boredom!!
No novelty, but I was dying of laughter since the puzzles were soooo bad, half of them were not working, and nothing made sense. I had the best time of my life laughing at the reactions on my partner’s face!!

Another surprisingly enjoyable room at Escapology. It's very old school in terms of the set design. It starts off in a study and of course there are some hidden rooms! The puzzles had a nice flow although a little on the easier side. This was a whodunit game and I appreciated that the game made use of the answer to help solve a puzzle. Nothing worse than when they ask you (or worse, when you have to ask because it's not clear) who did it. Come for Scooby-Doo, stay for Under Pressure, but time permitting, throw in Pirates and maybe this one, time permitting.

It wasn’t the worst I’ve ever played but there was a puzzle or two where I honestly have no idea how they imagined us ever figuring out how to do it with what we were given which is aggravating. It’s almost like you have to have a clue to understand it, and even then, the clues didn’t really help entirely.

I cannot express enough how difficult this game was. I've done lots of rooms and never not been able to escape, especially with hints. Most rooms give you 3 to 5 hints. This one allowed unlimited and I see why. Rules stated at the beginning said only 3 hints, but the game master said ignore that. Okay cool. But the game master also said not to backtrack into previous rooms and not to mess with the bookshelf. However you were required to backtrack on multiple occasions and you do indeed need the bookshelf about 4 times. My team ended up needing around 15 clues, and still didn't escape. The puzzles were very mathematic, to the point they were not enjoyable. There was too many occasions the puzzles were too detailed and give the run around that they are impossible to crack without the game master straight up telling you the answer. When the time ran up, my team was very embarrassed (as we always escape) but the game master comes in and says we did fantastic. I asked how? We got so many hints. She says oh actually most teams get around 50 hints for this room and most never escape. Sounds to me this rooms puzzles need redone. I don't recommend. I've never played another room at this location so I cannot speak for any other room there. The location itself is nice and seems up to date. But they really need to reconsider their puzzles.
