A power-mad cult leader. A bone-chilling curse. Break the cycle before midnight or face death yourself! The deranged minister of Crickley Church decided to kill his entire congregation after their confessions convinced his twisted mind that they had, among themselves, committed the 7 Deadly Sins. After inciting a curse on the children playing in the rooms beneath the church he buries himself alive in the churchβs hidden crypt, while promising to haunt the church forevermore. Now itβs up to you to locate the hidden crypt, find the dagger, and drive it through the heart of the evil minister before time runs out. Then, and only then, you will be saved and destroy the curse forever.

It's a shame I didn't like this game. I wanted to. The story was interesting involving breaking a curse and the 7 deadly sins. The set design was really nice, probably one of the nicer looking games at Escapology (probably up there with their submarine game), but the game itself is a bit rough. The flow is just off, the puzzles not that intuitive. We kept asking for clues because stuff wasn't connecting. Very disjointed. Even though we escaped, it didn't feel very satisfying. Ok to skip this one.

we did not enjoy this room at all - usually love all the rooms at escapeology so were very disappointed by this one. the theme was cool but the puzzles were confusing and boring

Even though we successfully escaped, I found this room to be incredibly challenging, but not in a fun way. I was stressed out and frustrated the majority of the game because there were so many logic leaps, it was a challenge in itself just to figure out what clue/item went with what puzzle and why. Also, the room was very dimly lit which made it difficult to see and read things. The scenic and decor was nice. The size of the room was a bit on the small side and felt cramped even with just the two of us. The saving grace was our delightful and extremely helpful GM who helped us maneuver through all the logic leaps to victory. Personally, I did not enjoy this room and preferred the Under Pressure room at this location instead.

Several leaps of logic, finding a price in the first two minutes of the room and needing it for the final puzzle. Set design is decent if a bit cramped.
Extremely linear.
