234 escape rooms
Rating: 3/5 - Decent room, but average at best, uninteresting set. Pros: ➕ Puzzles and flow were OK, no significant red herrings or annoying puzzles ➕ Easier room for beginners ➕ Set felt real with lots of real items and decorations ➕ Multiple rooms ➕ Some tech mixed with padlocks and number pads ➕ GM was friendly Meh: ➖ Set was basically just an apartment which is uninteresting ➖ No real memorable moments or reveals ➖ Ending puzzle is anti-climactic ➖ Puzzles weren't bad, but they just weren't that fun overall Cons: ➖ Almost the entire set is spoiled in the promo photos. Though the actual room here has different props/decoration than the photos, any secret room reveals aren't a surprise. ➖ Normally I don't discuss value but $45 for a set decorated with literal Ikea furniture and mostly objects you can buy at Wal-mart is overpriced, we used a 20% off coupon and it was still a bad value. Difficulty felt about right for our group of 2, I would not recommend more than a team of 3 enthusiasts. Update: My ranking of all Escapology rooms I've played (multiple locations). 1. A Pirate's Curse - 3.5/5 2. Scooby-Doo - 3.5/5 3. Lost City - 3.5/5 4. Star Trek: Quantum Filament - 3/5 5. Th3 C0D3 - 3/5
