A cool game, we made a rookie mistake and confused so did the clues but other than that our team escaped! We played in a team of 3 and there was plenty of puzzles

Really well done room and theme. For a pirate room, I was pleased for some of the choices they made in puzzles (some things I was not expecting) Two of us finished in time. I suspect the room would be good with about 4 adult sized humans but could be a bit crowded if you were above that number Fun room

With one standout puzzle, a great set and a decent "arrrgh, matey" ambience, this game is worth a playthrough - but don't expect a unique take on the pirate schtick. Its plotline took itself way too seriously, with an excruciatingly long intro video to match (we were also scolded for "starting too early"). Not Escapology's best game (which is Haunted House in Orlando), but it still sits somewhere above the middle of their games, for me.

A Pirate’s Curse was a fun, lighthearted room with a clear theme and a decent mix of puzzles. It didn’t blow me away, but it also didn’t do anything wrong. The set was cute and on-theme — lots of nautical props, piratey decor, and some fun little touches that made it feel like an adventure. It felt like a good room for casual players or families. The puzzles were mostly straightforward, though a few moments lacked clarity and needed a nudge to move forward. Nothing was overly complex, and the challenge level felt fair, but there weren’t many wow moments. It was more about steady progress than big reveals. The story stayed in the background — not super immersive, but present enough to support the theme. Overall, it’s a good choice if you’re looking for a fun, approachable escape room with a playful vibe. It wasn’t the most memorable room I’ve played, but I had a good time.

Simple and smooth for the most part. A few unclear moments, but the overall puzzle flow was steady and accessible.
Theming was cute and matched the pirate vibe well. Nothing super elaborate, but enough detail to make it feel fun and cohesive.
Helpful and attentive. Gave us nudges when needed without overdoing it.
No
Not really. It followed the usual formula, but in a charming way. No major twists or unique mechanics.
Light and easy to follow. Nothing too deep, but it matched the tone of the room and added a little extra fun.
Medium
Moderate. Not super easy, but very doable. A few puzzles needed clarification, but nothing unfair.
4
3–4. Enough to share the puzzles without crowding. We played with 2 and it was manageable.
Not scary
Not scary at all — the lights flickered every now and then, but it’s very kid-friendly and playful.
8
Probably 8+. Nothing creepy or inappropriate, and the puzzles are accessible for younger players with help.
No
Nope, everything worked as expected.

Low activity. No crawling or climbing required.
Mostly accessible — flat layout, moderate lighting. Some visual puzzles may be tricky for colorblind or low-vision players.

The game was very fun and I had a great experience. My friends and I escaped the room with 7 minutes left and very much enjoyed our time there. Escapology always has great rooms and amazing GMs who are very helpful and friendly. I give this room a 7/10 and would definitely recommend it to others. The reason why I give it a 7/10 is because it wasn’t necessarily something new and exciting and felt like a room I have done before. But for new escape enthusiast it is a great first room to start. Big shout out to our GM and escape room staff members who made the experience so special and memorable for my friends and I.

Honestly, this is the best game at Kissimmee’s Escalology location. Good flow on the game play, great theming. Logical steps for each segment. This game is as good as some of the independent companies around Orlando. Pick this one.

We thought the decor was really cool, definitely one of the better pirate themed rooms for sure but so far Lockbusters takes the crown in our escape room journey for this type of theme. Solid puzzles, great mix of locks and tech, just overall a very solid room anybody can enjoy!

Definitely one of the better pirate rooms I have ever done! For this room in particular, I think the less people the better because it is more of a challenge. My best friend has a big fear of eye patches (I know very random) and she was totally fine in this room! It is not a scary pirate room, more of a fun take on finding treasure!

It was ok but a couple of the puzzles didn’t work properly. The staff were not welcoming at all and in fact were bordering on rude. We will not be returning to this location. Probably would not recommend this room - try the pirate themed room at doldricks instead!
