First of all, the owner was awesome! He was open that he's learning the execution of escape rooms as he goes, and he has some good ideas for future projects that I'm excited to see. That said, I do think it could be good to give the current games here a bit more TLC. The maintenance gives the impression of a staff that doesn't care about quality, which is at odds with the owner's enthusiasm about escape rooms and his exciting ideas for the future.
As it stands, I can't recommend this game for enthusiasts, but there are some fun moments. Set design is never what I seek but this was so nonchalant and barebones that it distracted from the game - the room is just interior walls with no ceiling. I think the game would improve a lot with a simple makeshift ceiling like corrugated metal sheets, wooden planks or even creative tarping - having the space wide open to the lobby was odd, and anyone in the lobby would hear everything discussed during the game.
There are also some real quality issues which are easy to fix: colors meant for matching are different hues, lots of laminated paper with peeling laminate, stickers on the wall coming unstuck, important items on walls ripped... There were also a lot of basic puzzles which (in my opinion) lacked clarity or purpose in the game. Solving a puzzle book-style logic puzzle in the middle of trying to escape a prison doesn't make sense. That said, some of the puzzles were actually fun, so there's some good here, but it seems a bit stuck in a bygone era. With a puzzle refresh, a reskin (with a ceiling!) and some TLC to fix the maintenance issues, this could be a nice beach day break :)
