Pharaoh's Curse

Several of the puzzles were unique, and there is one specific (relatively active) element of getting back and forth that I really enjoyed! Some stressful moments and a few time consuming & tedious puzzles, though

Not as involved or impressive as other Countdown sets, but fun ambience, especially with the soundtrack they played!

In comparison to other Egyptian-themed rooms, this one had some unique elements that I think set it apart

Generic and not the staple of the room, but fine

We were a team of 2, so that does make things harder, but doable with 2 (especially if you are both experienced)

The element with water was very cool

One relatively active method of getting back and forth, but it was super fun!

Not very—dimly lit, movement and climbing required

Countdown has their own parking lot

Cool voice segments with the Pharaoh

Lots of stairs, and a rope ladder that is optional and can be bypassed by awesome GM

This game didn’t flow nearly as smoothly as other games at Countdown. The puzzles felt disconnected from each other and more all over the place.

Unfortunately, this room didn’t feel like an actual tomb, it just felt like a decorated room. This is the only game I’ve played at Countdown Games that didn’t feel immersive (I’ve played 7 other games at this location).

The game master was helpful when we got confused or frustrated.

It was different, it was not super interesting.

The story wasn’t very unique but it set the scene well enough.

This room was difficult in regards to the inefficient set up of the room, not the actual puzzles.

I would classify all of the rooms at Countdown as high tech.

Sometimes it’s easiest to divide between different locations in the room.

I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this room for anyone looking into Countdown Games though, there are much better options at this location.

The website mentioned water features but there was no water when we were in the room. There were also a couple of puzzles that malfunctioned that we had to bypass.

There were stairs and a steep ramp/ladder in this room.

Not super accessible. The room layout is cramped, stairs are required, and at least one person must descend a steep ramp. There are also multiple color based puzzles in this game.

Countdown Games is a large building that stands out.

There is a lot of parking but it’s a relatively busy business.

Not the best flow to puzzles. Many were time eaters and being linear, it was a tough time.

The set was pretty good.

We are always treated well at Countdown.

The water feature was more like a dribble.
