Rumors of a hidden treasure have drawn you to explore this ancient Egyptian tomb. Little did you know, treasure wasn’t what was hidden inside, but a vengeful, dead pharaoh. Are you able to obey all of his commands to escape back out before the hourglass is empty? Or will his curse consume you and your greed? Set inside an ancient Egyptian tomb, this game is a mix of Indiana Jones and Legends of the Hidden Temple. With no locks or keys, you’ll need to think outside the box. No locks in this one. We had a hard time with the room flow. A few nice surprises, but overall our least favorite Egyptian room and our second to least favorite game at Countdown

A solid Egyptian themed room, with a lot of what you’d expect from such rooms. Nothing too surprising except for one puzzle that I enjoyed. There was also a neat moment that happened surrounding the Pharaoh and an elaborate machine behind him. One of the last puzzles was very very tedious, and another puzzle was a trial and error one that I wasn’t a fan of. Final puzzle was stressful, but it felt satisfying to get out! Walk, don’t run, like an Egyptian to this room.

This room doesn’t compare to other rooms at Countdown Games. There were multiple malfunctions, the environment wasn’t immersive, and the layout was difficult to navigate. Countdown Games is amazing as a business! Out of all 8 games I’ve played there, this is the only one that I would not recommend for any reason.
Gameplay
This game didn’t flow nearly as smoothly as other games at Countdown. The puzzles felt disconnected from each other and more all over the place.
Atmosphere
Unfortunately, this room didn’t feel like an actual tomb, it just felt like a decorated room. This is the only game I’ve played at Countdown Games that didn’t feel immersive (I’ve played 7 other games at this location).

I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this room for anyone looking into Countdown Games though, there are much better options at this location.

The website mentioned water features but there was no water when we were in the room. There were also a couple of puzzles that malfunctioned that we had to bypass.

Not super accessible. The room layout is cramped, stairs are required, and at least one person must descend a steep ramp. There are also multiple color based puzzles in this game.

We wanted to like this one but it just didn’t meet expectations. The water feature was a dud. We’ve played others here at Countdown and enjoyed them so this is probably an outlier.

The least immersive room at countdown games. It’s just a yellow room with a few puzzles. The water effects mentioned online were not functioning when we played. The most intriguing puzzle malfunctioned on us, and the rest just weren’t that enjoyable. Nothing in this room stood out to us.
