Lara's father has been missing since his last expedition. Unfortunately nobody knows exactly where it went. You only know that he was in search of eternal life. Lara herself is following a lead in Europe when her villa is broken into and notes about a snake god from South America are stolen. Lara now asks you to follow this trail in the hope that her father will be found. A former colleague will meet you at the airport and accompany you. Are you ready to experience an unforgettable adventure?

This was the last game we played as part of our trip to Athens, Germany, and The Netherlands and it was one of our favorites. It’s a temple game that is pure fun and keeps the story going when lesser games might have stopped. It’s a must play.

Finest Escape Bamberg is definitely worth a visit. We have played both premium rooms, “Das Heilige Grab” and this one. You can also find our review of the other room on my profile. A small tip in advance: The time stated in Lara’s email is already the official game start. By then, the safety briefing, restroom break, and everything else should already be completed. We recommend arriving about 15 minutes early, just as stated in the reminder email. The reception area is beautifully designed and fits the theme of this room perfectly. Our game master was Nina. She did an excellent job guiding us through the experience, and her acting added a lot to the atmosphere. The room itself is very well designed, and we also really enjoyed the story. Make sure to pay close attention to the introduction if you want to fully understand the ending. What impressed us most was the wide variety of puzzles. They are diverse, well thought out, and give every team member the opportunity to contribute. It is obvious that the creators paid great attention to every detail. The room is a bit more physical than most escape rooms, which we found to be a refreshing change. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we can highly recommend this room.

An epic beginning with a unique set-up and great space, once this game gets going, the puzzles turn a bit "seen this before". I appreciated an unexpected twist at the end, which wasn't as twist-y to some team members as to others (me). There's definitely a little Indiana Jones mixed in here, but I'd have preferred a more Lara Croft bent. I'd recommend this on a road trip east in Germany, but it's not at the top of Finest Escape's offerings (check out the two Harry Potter games and Vecnas Rooms for real treats!)

Huge room in a former cinema where you are actually allowed to climb on stuff - a really nice change compared to all the rooms where you hear the “nothing above 2 meters” rule. The room is also packed with task to do, each single one not really hard but because of the amount of tasks in sum it is hard to get everything done in time. Towards the end ( because we were running out of time) the hints from the game master were really in-your-face basically telling us the answers straight away which was a bit of a shame cause it broke the immersion a lot (we would have liked more time to solve the task ourselves in exchange to less live acting in the end). Still: really really great room!

Tomb Hunter by Finest Escape in Bamberg was the first room of the day and the tenth of our Bavarian Escape Tour, played with our same team of 4. This was also our seventh room with Finest Escape, so we were familiar with their style and quality. The location setup immediately set the tone, just like their branch in Nuremberg, the entry area was nicely themed and well maintained. The experience itself draws clear inspiration from Tomb Raider and Indiana Jones, and it leans fully into that adventurous vibe. The intro was short and effective, and then the adventure begins. The set design was solid throughout, with good lighting and sound effects supporting the immersion. There was a decent amount of space to explore, including a few active moments that added energy to the experience. Overall, we had a fun time, and there were was an area that really gave us a “wow” moment due to the decor and size. Recommended for all players, though having some prior experience will definitely help in getting the most out of the adventure. TERPECA level experience/quality from Finest Escape.

This game is an absolute treat! From start to finish, we really enjoyed ourselves. The grand set, the hero moments, the dynamic story, it all comes together exceptionally well. It is not easy, either! Be prepared with 3-4 players for maximum fun! With any more than 4, some may not see everything. Finest Escapes knows what they are doing!

This room is beautifully decorated, and I loved the adventure feel of the room. There are definitely some physical tasks, and I enjoyed them a lot. The last room, although beautifully decorated, had my least favourite puzzles. Overall we had a great experience.

"Usually in escaperooms you are not allowed to climb on stuff. But this time - you have to." I LOVED how active this room was. Climbing, crawling, jumping down - everything was so much fun and reminded me of the time as a child on the playground. The room design is great and the riddles made sense for the type of room it was. The story was okay - the "plottwist" wasn't surprising considering the type of story it was. But we had lots of fun and I really loved the time I spent in there. Definitely recommended.
