It all started with the mysterious and sudden death of an otherwise healthy girl; Samara Morgan. Samara's cousin knows something but is in a state of deep shock. The cousin is now admitted to a psychiatric ward, and maniacally keeps repeating something about a little girl with long black hair and a video. There are many myths about this video that you should not watch under any circumstances. If you are still tempted to watch the video, you must solve the mystery of the girl before 60 minutes have passed. Otherwise, Samara Morgan will haunt you - forever.

The 2002 horror movie "The Ring" has been brought to life in escape room form at Riddle House Copenhagen. To set the mood, you are led into the darkness, shoulder to shoulder with your eyes closed, while the instructor circles the team, telling the tragic story of Samara who died a horrific death. A mysterious videotape has surfaced, and anyone who watches it is killed by Samara after exactly seven days. Unfortunately, 6 days and 23 hours have already passed, meaning time is running out. In just one hour, you will either have freed Samara from the evil forces – or you will be murdered by her, just like many before you. It doesn’t take long before you find the legendary tape, and the phone rings faintly shortly after, just like in the movie. Along the way, Samara also appears in dirty white clothes, her long black hair hanging down over her face, while she hums… The room is very dark, and unfortunately, there was only one flashlight for the entire team. This forced the rest of the group to follow the light around, as it was impossible to work on different things in the room when you couldn't see what was going on. We actually had to get our flashlight replaced during the game, as it hadn't been checked before we started to ensure it worked and had battery power. Unfortunately, the best part of the room's experience ends there. The final puzzles are quite difficult, which might be intentional so that interaction with the demon child becomes necessary. On the other hand, the room shows clear signs of wear and tear, and the final code for the exit door was simply broken when we were trying to escape. As a result, our experience fell a bit flat, despite the exciting start. All in all, the idea of adapting a popular horror movie was really great, but the rooms at Riddle House Copenhagen generally need some serious maintenance. 51 escape rooms

The rooms puzzles were quite dull and the decoration was very minimalistic. The room ONLY gets a thumbs up because of the Live Actor we had in the room. They did a wonderful job at being extremely creepy. If there had not been an actor in the room, this might have been one of the most boring rooms I have played.

Gameplay

The gameplay mostly made sense, but the room was only really good because our actor was really good. Without the actor, this room would not have been good at all.

Atmosphere

Most of the riddles were very worn down, the scenery was very minimalistic. The only immersive thing in the room was the actor, who did a wonderful job at making the experience quite creepy.

Only because of the actor will this room gain a scary status. Without the actor this room would have been rather dull.
