The pirate ship has been sunk by Blackbeard and his crew. As one of the few survivors, you've been captured and are now imprisoned in Blackbeard’s dungeon. Fortunately, the ghost of your own captain is determined to help you, and he won’t stop until you’ve stolen Blackbeard’s treasure. Amaze really knows how to create an impressive set design and support it with an immersive soundscape. You completely buy into the illusion of being transported back in time, fully immersed in the pirate theme. There aren’t a huge number of props in the room, but what’s there works really well. There are also some new elements we haven’t encountered with other escape room providers. There are several classic puzzles in the room, which means we progressed through it fairly easily. So, it’s not a particularly difficult room, but it’s a very beautiful and entertaining experience—definitely something you shouldn’t miss if you’re in Odense. In terms of size, four people can easily fit in the room, and everyone stays engaged the whole time. However, the beginning of the room disrupted our flow a bit, as it doesn’t require everyone’s involvement right away. A couple of crew members were left staring into the horizon while the rest fought to break out of the prison.
