Fair Game

The method to figuring out puzzles I didn’t feel was always intuitively obvious enough and I felt it was too abstract and not enough guidance in the room clues itself to make this room fantastic. The hands-on activities are fun but maybe try to make them easier as it can get aggravating to try too hard physically or tell people the answer if they have to try for more than 5 minutes but have the right idea. The location is great for relatives. I tried to buy a BF gift card and I forgot that I am supposed to apply a coupon code beforehand. While I was frustrated they couldn’t refund me and let me repurchase nor could they offer free merchandise equivalent to what I would have saved, that was my fault. One thing I really disliked is that the gift card expires one year after purchase. Not much point to get a gift card with no freebie stuff if it will expire when a respective person can just pay at the time they will reserve instead.

We played two rooms one after the other this being the second room. We enjoyed the fun theme and the mix of physical and mental puzzles. The puzzles all fit the theme and were not to easy or too difficult.

Loved my 2nd escape room with Red Door. The quality and space for red rood has always given us our bang for our buck when comparison to others I’ve been to. The staff is always energetic and excited.

It's a carnival / circus experience with pretty creative games. There is one puzzle that requires rotation that is finicky but all in all we reallt enjoyed the room. Smaller kids could help find things in this room with guidance from adults. Like go find numbers, colors or certain objects. I won't spoil the games so my review will make sense in the room.

There were some glitches with the room. The monitor that shows the time remaining was not properly working. During the game, the game master entered the room to explain how one of the puzzle was supposed to be solved, said this was not a hint. Overall i liked the theme and the puzzles, but the room can benefit from some uptades in the puzzles and decoration.

The game had a great mix of fair games that required some level of coordination or patience without dominating the puzzling aspect of the room. Everything worked reliably and the puzzles were challenging but nothing felt random.

The set of this room is beautiful. The puzzles are well done and fun, although there does seem to be a couple red herrings. I recommend playing, but I don’t think I’d necessarily select this room over their others.
