True Crime: Podcast Killer

This room was marked “not scary,” but there was progressively more blood and gore. Not what we expected.

We were about 10 minutes early (I know, should be 15) we sat in the lobby for quite awhile. Then when someone finally came in to talk to us, told us all we needed to complete waivers. Ok, fine, maybe I should have paid more attention when booking. Got to the room - “we’ll have to take time off because you’re starting late”. Cool. One of the locks was already undone. The game master for our experience was just very abrupt and rude. At the end, she kept pushing for us to utilize the QR code and leave a review. I finally had to tell her that she probably wouldn’t really like our review. The game itself was ok. Other than the one lock, it was pretty smooth. Worth it as long as you don’t have the same game master we did.

We have done tons of escape rooms and this one challenged us. It took us a little bit of time to get our rhythm down - so the first 15-20 mins.. we felt lost but getting the clues slowly.. we really did well towards the end! Highly recommend! 1 jump scare and super creepy!

Great experience! Challenging puzzles, cool facility and fantastic customer service! We actually got locked into this room (the door has an emergency code) but our GM left it unlocked to accommodate some fears which was so nice of him. Can’t wait to do more at Panic.

Good room with an interesting take on the serial killer theme! I enjoy podcasts, so I liked the twist of this room. There is a lot to do, and we barely got out as a smaller group of 2. It’s not super scary, but it is gory and spooky. Puzzled were fun and made sense, though there was one element of guess and check that wasted precious minutes. Also, there are way too many of the same locks and a few too many red herrings. Still the best room at this location by far, though I don’t think there’s a lot of competition here. Non linear..more people is useful

This was an okay room, middle of the line for Panic. It pulls the production design from a lot of their other rooms with nothing that really feels unique. Same with a lot of the puzzles which mostly feel conventional in standard rooms. I think the biggest negative was that two puzzles were not reset properly, allowing us to solve them way too early. Overall it's still a decent time, but nothing I would explicitly recommend.

Have not done a Panic Escape Room since 2019 and a lot more locations and rooms have opened since then, so I did not know what to expect. True Crime: Podcast Killer was a lot of fun and better than expected. The sets were very solid and felt like we were in a serial killer’s home. The puzzles mostly made sense within this fairly difficult non-linear room, but a few tripped us up where we wasted too much time. As the game progressed into the 2nd room, the room seemed more linear and made more sense, but our earlier struggles made us finish 2 puzzles short of escaping. Our GM, Cameron, was super enthusiastic and gave us great hints along the way. Cameron even explained what we had left to do in order to escape, which I appreciated. Overall, we had a lot of fun, everything worked properly in the room, and customer service was great. Will definitely do more Panic ERs.

Super cool room! A little difficult for 2 people but we managed to do it!

This one was pretty difficult for 2 people. We probably weren’t even 75% of the way through when the time ended. Definitely could use an extra set or two of eyes and brains.
