The 1800s California gold rush was a time when just about anyone could get lucky with a fortune. No one knew this better than your recently deceased relative, Clyde Hamilton. Though he’s since passed, the prospector left behind quite a pretty penny in gold. As his surviving next of kin, he’s offered you a chance to claim the gold fortune as an inheritance for yourself…if you can find it! You’ve only got 60 minutes to get into Clyde’s cabin and take the gold stash before news of the fortune reaches other greedy ears in town…

25 escape rooms

This room was one of my favorites from “the escape game” brand. I particularly liked the cabin vibes and some of the more interactive puzzles. Another super solid, fun, and exciting room from this chain.

This was a fun, immersive room with well-rounded puzzles. Finished with some time to spare. Wish this was a private experience to our group, but we still got paired up with some fun people.

41 escape rooms

With the most unique puzzle lineup of any game I've played, this room just might also have the best puzzles out of any room I've played - Timeliner's theme just barely keeps it from being my favorite room of all time. The room itself was incredibly immersive as well, and with production value you can only find from The Escape Game. Out of 22 escape rooms I’ve played at the time of writing, this one ranks a very close 2nd.

Gameplay

With the single best set of puzzles out of any escape room I’ve ever played, this rating is effortless. All the puzzles were unique and so much fun to do.

I don’t call any room easy, but this one was easier than most in my opinion. My family, who is pretty bad at escape rooms, got out in pretty decent time.

Easy to find location

Yes

Right in the heart of Fisherman’s Wharf and next to a gigantic candy store, I came across this location (and the other one in the city) purely on accident, and I was so glad I did.
