I played this game as a solo player and managed to escape (with some nudges along the way) thanks to a helpful GM who knew how to balance hints and letting me figure things out on my own. The game itself is better than the TEG picture would indicate and is basically a time travel game with the train as the machine. The puzzles are all generally TEG level of quality, as is the set. Nothing spectacular, but everything is solid and makes sense. I did have a few tech issues with the train whistle keypad being unresponsive and having failed inputs (it would work about 30-50% of the time), and there was another puzzle where the inputs wouldn’t always register on one particular part. However, I will say that despite being combo lock heavy, one thing I always appreciate about TEG is how easily its locks open, which isn’t always the case in other companies’ games.

I love the idea of travelling through time on a train and the different rooms are different periods in time. This room borrowed some of that idea, but used it in a completely different way! We had 7 adults on this experience, and it seemed like a perfect number of people for the puzzles that we had. We all worked together--there didn't seem to be any part where only one person could work on a puzzle at a time. No bottlenecking! I love that! :)

Nothing scary or violent. And kids like dinosaurs, right?

There were no stairs or things to climb on or through. There is one part where someone needs to crouch down to see something for a puzzle, though. Perfect for little kids!

There were discrepancies with descriptions and items which threw us off.
There were some discrepancies with a puzzle that didn’t match description.
I felt staff were running behind and wouldn’t budge on moving us to the room we really wanted and it was vacant. Even though they were having technical difficulties with the one room we were scheduled for.
