The Purple Gang

The Purple Gang is based on a real-life Detroit gang. The escape room is an investigation-style experience in a tiny room. Within the room, you answer investigation questions on a sheet of paper, and then after 30 minutes or so, you get your answers checked. And that’s how you know you’ve “escaped.” There are only a few puzzles in this short room, and it’s pretty underwhelming unfortunately, especially since you don’t even know when you’re finished. There isn’t even a camera in the room. The GM just kinda checks on you. I would recommend other rooms at this location, for sure, but not this one.

Super small room and the majority of what we were doing was on the floor or you had to squat down.

Probably one of my least favorite rooms. Did it with two people, and “escaped” but the room itself doesn’t really feel like an escape room. It feels more like one of the “escape room in a box” kits you can buy at Target. It’s a smaller room which felt too cramped with two people, and didn’t have any traditional “door” to escape out of which kind of ruined the experience from the start.

Just a fun little 30 minute room that was over before we knew it. Give it a shot if you have time before booking another room here.

This was a small, one-room game. It wasn’t bad but the lighting was really, really dim, which made it harder than it needed to be. I’m glad I did it but I left wanting a bit more.
