Shimmer Reef

Really fun escape room. I enjoyed the mechanism for the timer, and the theming and such were all on point. We had a party of 7 and pretty much everyone had something to do at all times but the room was set up for us to all come together for big moments.

Good sets but random puzzles that did little to connect to story. Puzzles felt disconnected with very little flow. This room was a little underwhelming for us

This place has the greatest GM’s. I don’t k is where they hire from, but never had a GM i disliked. The game room is large enough for a group, the puzzles varied in style and variety. Clean. Well maintained

My friends and I made the trek from Seattle to Renton to check out Sure Lock Escapes’s TERPECA-nominated rooms, Guardian’s Grove and Shimmer Reef. We're a group of 7 experienced escapers, each with 10-40 rooms under our belts. The storyline was engaging, and the room itself was a blast. Even with our extensive experience, we still encountered some tricky challenges, which kept all of us actively engaged. The room was well-paced and there was always something for everyone to be working on simultaneously. Shimmer Reef had some fantastic puzzles that could be parallelized without stepping all over each other, which was great for our larger group. There were also a lot more moving, beautiful pieces that were quite fun and added a lot to the experience.

This one is very puzzles heavy which is great for larger groups.

Clever puzzles again in this room… very colorful… staff very friendly…

Immersive, neat mechanics, good concurrent solves. Medium difficulty.

This was a great room and pretty challenging. There are a lot of puzzles to solve and many can be done concurrently so nobody was ever breathing down another person’s neck.
