In this escape room, your team is really challenged to solve a complex case. For Pastor Baker, the world has turned upside down. A tragic "accident" took the life of his wife, his home burnt to the ground with suspected arson, and both the church account and his personal bank account was drained with no trace of where the money went. Given the amount of money and nature of the crimes, a very special team of agents are needed to search the preacher's office for clues to find out who is behind all of this.

What a great room! Heads up, they let us know that this room is being retired by Halloween, so make sure that you go out and do it. There’s a lot to do in this room, so best with a group of three, all working non linear. The flow is great with themes of the 7 deadly sins & a pastor's possible fall from grace. Take a moment during the game to listen to EVERY song that plays when a certain puzzle is completed. Brilliant! This is a must-do & you can see why it's been nominated repeatedly. Also, I'll add with my review of the company overall, location and owners. The location is a historic first Catholic site, the first Catholic church in North Carolina, now renovated with maximal use of every available space for three escape rooms. In addition, the owner clearly has a love and passion for history, escape rooms, and the themes behind each room. From even the way you enter the building, it’s an escape room delight!
Very interesting, very fun! A great storyline with a game that has a very nice flow. Non-linear but every puzzle is very intuitive!
It's their oldest room (and soon to be retired by Halloween), so it looks it. That said, the design is superb.
Roger is one of the nicest owners/creators I’ve ever met. He clearly loves escape rooms and has put love and into this place. This vibe extends to all his employees whose love for the company and escape rooms in general shows!

Very! A game based around the 7 Deadly Sins!

Bring your thinking caps!
Mechanical
It's 50/50 with more mechanical and locks the first half of the game.

Fantastic, non-linear room. One of the best escape rooms I have ever done. The game masters and owners are incredible also and know their stuff without prompting. Cannot wait to go back and do the others!

Big fan of this room! Super involved, requires good communication, and it’s a fun plot line, while not directly related to the history of the place it is thematic for sure. Had a blast in this room! The GM was definitely a big part of the room’s success in my eyes.

The building (an old church) is amazing! The owners and our GM, Addison, were fantastic! You can tell the owners have a real passion for escape rooms. It shows before you even enter the door. Redemption is a fun game. The theme makes you chuckle given the building you’re playing in. There are a lot of puzzles. And while the two of us barely made it through in time, we needed nudges along the way. We felt the flow of the game could be improved as well as a little more signposting. Not all the puzzles connected with us. But we loved the music (though it was much too loud at the end), the set design, and we appreciated the great tech in this game. Note that there are stairs to get to the room and all players will need to crawl during the game.

Do yourself a favor and pay this place a visit. The unique setting of Key to Escape adds a lot to their experiences, and the owners are very friendly and committed to a great experience for their customers. This room was more challenging than Under Pressure, and had some nice touches with music that you'll just have to see for yourself.

Fantastic place. I have done probably 30 + escape rooms, and this room was a cut above the rest. Really great effects. Room is non linear which is great when you have a group so everyone can be working on different things. Ambiance and theming was incredible. Overall highest recommendation
