Wizarding School of Magic

We wanted to like this one but it was problematic. The set up with our host was fine but I should have known that something was up when he gave us a clue about how to solve a puzzle in the room with his welcoming speech. We usually do not need many clues in a room. This one we asked for many. There was one puzzle where we needed to know character names from actors’ pictures. We had no idea. We left with the feeling like we really didn’t solve anything. Overall, I can’t recommend it as we left saying that we didn’t like it.

Our game master was super friendly, even had a nice conversation with the owner. The game master was very vocal in the game, which I usually don’t prefer, but he was very kind, so I didn’t mind. Very casual game for me. Wasn’t difficult, but had fun as a group of 3 HP nerds. Great location right in the center of Blue Ridge. Would love to come back and try the others.
