Complete Your Daring Prison Escape Many consider Prison Break our most difficult escape room. Players are split into two different prison cells and must work together to get out of a 1950s style prison. A successful escape will include a sneaky trip to the warden’s office. An unsuccessful escape will land you in prison forever. Yes, those are real prison toilets….what can we say? We are obsessed with creating realistic environments.

Compared to the other games at this location, I felt like a few of the puzzles were a little blah. We completed this room with two people and had about 5 min left. The room was fun and there are some really cool aspects. Our GM was awesome and since this was our 5th and final room at this location, he snuck in to ‘set up the room’ and there were little gifts that we found along the way too while playing the game. That was a nice gesture. We were a group of 2 and had to use 4 or 5 clues. I’m a 3 or less person, so that hurt my soul a little bit. But overall a fun escape game!

In competition with Escapology's 7 Deadly Sins for the hardest escape room I've played, with some frustration spawning from the amount of hints my group needed, I’m really trying to put our puzzle solving abilities that didn't live up to par aside when deciding how much I enjoy this room. This room's visual spectacle is back on par with that of Timeliner and Gold Rush in its own way, and the gimmick of being separated into two cells in the beginning is an incredibly unique, fun, and inherently challenging feature that I'd love to see more often - if it fits the theme and is used properly. The puzzles were fun, albeit very difficult at times, and admittedly more forgettable than those of rooms like Gold Rush. It is a lot of lock and key with generally basic means of finding the numbers or letters, but basic does not mean easy in this case. This room might have the most impressive visual spectacle of any room I've seen in terms of physical build, with Timeliner being better for its use of technology. It also has a very detailed and impressive lore that doesn't play a huge part, but still impressive attention to detail. Current rank: 3/23

I stray away from my typical answer of 4 for this room, as the game begins with players separated into two different cells. Although my group of 4 did okay (and it did get a bit loud at times,) it might help to have a few extra folks.

Accessibility

There is a puzzle that requires going up a flight of stairs and then a ramp down (although it is optional as long as someone else can go up to solve the puzzles) and another involves interpreting color.

Puzzle Quality: 17/20 Looks/Theme: 13/15 GameMaster Rating: 8.5/10 Operation Fluidity: 5/5 Combined Rating: 43.5/50 Overall Difficulty: 5/10 Quick Notes: - Multiple rooms, medium in size. - Theme and immersion done exceptionally well. - Puzzle variety and quality are good. - Need at least one reasonable agile person! - Unique starting setup. CATEGORIES EXPLAINED IN MORE DETAIL BELOW: Puzzle Quality - How intuitive, logical, and unique the puzzles were. How well do the puzzles fit the theme? Looks/Theme - How much effort, time, and money went into making an immersive and unique atmosphere. GameMaster Rating - How attentive and helpful was the game master? Were the hints given in a timely manner and were they quality hints that helped but did not give you the solution too directly? Operation Fluidity - Was the game reset properly? Was it clean inside the room? Were the code entry and solution methods working properly as intended? Overall Difficulty - This is fairly subjective but is mostly correlated to how many total puzzles and how time consuming they each are compared against the 60 minute time limit that almost all rooms have. Combined Rating - Simply a total tally out of 50 of the four main categories. (Puzzle Quality and Looks/Theme are weighted a little more because they are the most important parts of having a good experience). The higher the number, the better the room! Just remember that a 5/10 or 7.5/15 or a 25/50 combined rating is an AVERAGE rating (for some reason in most people’s heads, a 5/10 is a below average or bad rating). So if a room has a combined rating of above 25, then it is a quality room and a good experience that I would recommend! It has to be a really well done room to score above a 35.

An incredibly tough and interesting room. Escape Game uses tech so well that it truly enhanced the experience. Only thing I'd really change is have a flashlight available in the room. We were instructed by the GM to use our phone flashlights, which detracted from the experience slightly.
