Really is just DARK. Very silly at times just feeling around and finding friends along the way, I really enjoyed it!

During an expansion of our venue, we stumbled upon a doorway to a new world. A world of absolute nightmarish darkness. No one knows where this world came from or how long this lightless space has been here, but the only person to venture inside (one of our employees) has yet to return. Knowing the traps and puzzles already in our venue we fear the nightmares that might come from within. We need your help to find, rescue and escape this dark world and bring back our friend, ALIVE!

This room had us on edge the entire time! Few little spooks and scares along the way, and enough puzzles to keep us busy. A very unique ending that could go either way so choose wisely.

Really good fun if you want something a bit different. Focuses more on the fact it is spooky and dark than solving too many puzzles so may not suit everyone's style. We had fun and the actor gave us a scare.

Great room for a change from typical rooms. Wouldn't go with more than 4 as you'd run out of space. Not many clues but it being pitch black is enough.

Excellent room, loved the dark room concept. Also had a little bonus room at the end with a riddle that didn’t count towards your time. Doable with only 2 people, would definitely get through a lot faster with more hands

Dark Dungeon has straightforward tactile puzzles and tasks, with fun moments and some potential for big scares. A unique concept and best played by a group of enthusiastic scaredy cats. When we arrived at Lost Locks we were greeted very warmly by Ryan who was lovely to chat to. We felt very generously taken care of by our game master Sam, her intros really drew you in and set the scene and her enthusiastic debriefs were much appreciated. This business has really wonderful top tier games and we can't wait to come back and try some more. The atmosphere is fun, the vibes are excellent and we're very excited to see what games they release in the future.

What an experience. ‘Dark Dungeon’ offers a pitch-black room in which to play the game — no blindfolds needed to maintain the visionless experience. It is truly incredible that, even after spending the majority of the time in the room, your eyes don’t grow accustomed to the darkness. You simply can’t see… anything. The puzzles flow well and are balanced to compensate for the lack of vision. The atmosphere and textures players feel throughout the space are intriguing and help clearly signpost what is and isn’t connected. The ending was something else. I LOVED it. I don’t want to say any more because I don’t want to give anything away. As a horror fan, this was possibly my favourite escape room horror moment — it would be between this and the ending of Cipher Room’s ‘Mr Pepper’s Toy Shop’ in Sydney. At the time of writing, having played essentially every open escape room on the Gold Coast, I can confidently say that this is one of — if not the — best escape experiences in the city.
The linearity of the room lends to the sensory experience. It was clear that the room had been carefully designed and iterated to deliver a thoroughly enjoyable escape experience. The ending was a delight, and tickled my love of horror in such a big way.
I’ve played another room that is played without vision by wearing eye masks, but ‘Dark Dungeon’, impressively, is played in a room without the need for a mask. It is truly that dark. I kept expecting my eyes to adjust, but they never did. The aesthetics and textures of the room were great.
The Lost Locks team is always welcoming, and not just to us — to everyone that walks through their doors. It’s nice to see such warm hospitality.

Playing without vision in a room so dark you don’t need blindfolds, and that ending — very unique, very, very enjoyable.
I enjoyed the subtle reference to an earlier Lost Locks room!
