Hidden Temple

A super well themed room with both action and comedy! We didn’t know how the room could keep getting bigger, but it did. The puzzles were all within the theme, though most of the room felt like cypher work. The challenge is communication and attention to detail, which makes for a fun experience. Incredible set with some iconic and memorable scenes!

Hidden Temple was our 3rd room we have experienced at 60 to Escape Gurnee (previously did Museum Heist and Blast from the Past) and this was our favorite! Sets/decor were amazing and great use of tech/lighting made it feel like we were in an actual temple. There were so many different rooms to explore that you started to feel like you were trapped in this temple! Each time another room opened up, you got another rush of excitement to see what was next. They even used the laser lights you see at haunted houses to simulate a swamp in a room, which was super cool to experience. Rooms had a great variety of puzzles…skill, math, translation, following patterns…nothing too difficult and all of them fun. Game flowed really well and naturally split our team of 4 into 2 groups of 2 in several of the rooms which worked well. Almost no locks and they were used in perfect ways. GM (Jillian) was fun to talk to before and after about her favorite rooms, and she did a great job giving us 2 slight nudges when we spun our wheels (at the beginning and at the end). Customer Service at all of the 60 to Escape locations are amazing as they are actively engaged in your experience and genuinely want you to have fun and escape. Hidden Temple was a blast and highly recommend it!

So impressed with all the rooms at 60 to escape so far. Excellent production design, satisfying puzzles, nice mix of tactile locks and technology, impressive themes, and every time I’m convinced the rooms are done another door is revealed.

Very good room. Best at the Gurnee location for sure. Great mix of splitting the group, physical and mental puzzles. Solid theatrical moments. A refreshing mix from the pure puzzle rooms. Must do!

This was my favorite game at 60 to Escape Gurnee, mostly because of the theme - I have a soft spot for both adventure movies and the old show Legends of the Hidden Temple, and this game evoked both. The set was the best part, and the puzzles were fine.

This was a fun room. The set design was beautiful. Very few lock and keys. Everything worked seamlessly. The only thing preventing this from going from like to love is that the game play was a bit too linear for our tastes. It was extremely clear what went next in order. And the puzzles were not too hard to figure out. We got the record for the month and didn’t even use a single clue or “nudge”. Nice room. We enjoyed it.

I was in awe of the quality of the build for this room so much that it was distracting. Fun puzzles that were all on theme. Good level of difficulty and nothing felt out of place. Highly recommended!

I love love loved this room. The puzzles were top notch. The atmosphere was on point. I would recommend this room to anyone. There is way more to this room than meets the eye.

Definitely a top 10 room for us! Great for small experienced groups, mostly linear but great storyline and puzzles were unique and fun. One that just keeps going!

Rating: 4/5 - Great temple themed room, one of the best ones I've played after Ruins at The Escape Game. It worked well for my team of 2 and we enjoyed the flow and progression, going deeper into the temple with some fun surprises along the way. The puzzles were mostly fun (though maybe 1-2 were a bit annoying due to math and decoding). There were great audio/lighting/effects which made for an immersive experience. There is a lot of tech and only a couple locks and they didn't feel out of place for the theme. The set looked beautiful and did feel like a proper temple and the many of the puzzles were physical/tactile (not just opening locks and keypads). Our GM was great and helpful when needed. I'd recommend 2-4 players. I'd say the room is a bit creepy but not scary. UPDATE: My ranking of 60 to Escape rooms (all locations) so far starting with my favorite. 1. Lockbuster Video ❤️ 2.
