The company still around, but this room is no longer offered. And that’s too bad. I really thought that this was a huge leveling up for Bull City Escape. The set design was great showing off a very magical forest that made you pause the moment you walked in. The puzzles were solid and we had a good time!

This room was very cool and inventive with good decor in the different areas. Mars was a great host and made the experience even more enjoyable. We got stuck at the last puzzle and were close when time ran out. As others said there were some elements that just weren't intuitive and a couple of blatant red herrings that wasted time. We can all debate about whether that is good or bad game design, but it certainly ate up minutes where clues that synced up painted a different picture than what was supposed to actually be happening. There were some really amazing looking props and great cyphers and such so much more good than bad. I loved about 85% of this room. Overall though it was very enjoyable - a couple of small edits to remove the red herrings and clean up the story this would have been a LOVE instead of just a really like.
While not the best I have ever seen, for the Triangle it was really good. Wish they could have integrated/hidden some of the lock boxes hanging on the wall just a bit better.
Mars was such a great host. They were very clear and helpful with clues.
Yes
It was interesting, and some of the props were really nicely done.
Loved the flow of the story - I think some of it got lost - it would have been nice to have the clues follow the story. Just bits of narrative to tie it back and remind us of the plot would have made it all feel very cohesive. Having written bits of clue would take it from being just well themed to truly immersive.
Hard
I'm only saying hard because the individual puzzles were not hard, but the intuition and storytelling to lead from puzzle to puzzle made it feel more hard than it actually was. I also think two red herrings in particular are actually hurting rather than just making it challenging.

A couple more people may have made it a bit easier to break up but we usually weren't lacking manpower it was being stuck at a choke point like the cryptex and just handing it around and telling everyone else they were probably doing it wrong

I am guessing someone with a walker or wheelchair can fit through the passage. Tere is one clue that isn't good for color blind people,

Lots of lock boxes and the clues were really just “oh here’s a number” rather than genuine puzzles. The theming was fairly good. GM was very nice!
Lots and lots of lock boxes with a lot of “oh look, a number, find the right box to put it in” so not our favorite kind of puzzles.

I really liked about 90% of this room. The theming and set decorations were great and there were some really fun and unique puzzles! Unfortunately, there were also a few puzzles that were super frustrating. My major concern was the final puzzle. Even the game guide had trouble explaining how it was supposed to work post-game and had to go back to the office to remind themself of the answer. And when we gave feedback on *why* it was so confusing as constructed, the reaction was pretty dismissive. (Otherwise, the game guide was great!). It should be said we were playing as a team of two and larger groups might have better luck figuring everything thing out in the given time. As I said, there were a lot of excellent elements about this room and company, and I would definitely give one of their other rooms a try if I were in the area again.

Nothing not child-friendly in the content, but the puzzles were tough. Children should have experience and/or experienced "grown-ups" on their team.

7.5/10 A great themed room by BCE, and probably the best themed puzzles of ones I've done there. Some cute and clever puzzles and theming that I really enjoyed. Most were intuitive, but as others have mentioned there is a specific unintuitive puzzle that we brute forced our way through, which doesn't always leave a good feeling.
Still remember one puzzle in particular for just being so cute and clever. It wasn't anything amazing, but it definitely left an impression!

Rather run-of-the-mill puzzle wise, but it was still a good assortment. Nothing groundbreaking, but it was fun.

One of our favorite companies in Durham. We liked this room while it has some tech, there were also locks. Overall fun and flowed well. Would recommend.
