Cabin in the Woods

It wasn’t that hard except the majority of the mechanisms didn’t work. We would solve the puzzles fairly quickly, but applying the solution to THE MAJORITY of the mechanisms didn’t work and required engagement from the staff (who also couldn’t get them to work).

Broken puzzles with incorrect help made it extremely frustrating

Supposed to be a cabin in the woods, definitely didn't feel like a cabin unless you give them credit for the fireplace

Nice enough when we got there but totally walked away from us and ignored us at the end. I tried to ask a few questions but she flat out disappeared. It's not even that big of a office

Was hoping but nope, found lots of puzzles that I've seen everywhere else

They tried with a story but the room really failed to relay that. P

It was so hard that we would have died in there because she told us the wrong information from the start because there shit was broken

Anything you could possibly consider hi tech was broken. The books having to be in a specific order that we had right didn't unlock at first until we asked for a hint that's when the GM was like oh that one's been acting up. I would suggest some TLC of your room before you let people struggle

The poor execution and the care of the place ruined it and kids wouldn't have anything to do

Crucial parts like colored fingernails, books that to go in order didn't unlock (GM didn't help till we asked for clue) candles that we were suppose to blow on didn't work luckily I was certain that was what you did so we messed with it till it worked

Gameplay was linear, but there were some creative puzzles. A good mix of traditional locks and some electronic puzzles. Minor physical tasks such as crawling, finding, and some gross out parts.

Spooky cabin with a serial killer taunting you throughout, and some great gore and gross out in the second half.

Very kind staff. Our game master was the manager and he introduced us to the puzzle maker after. His excitement and passion for escape rooms got us hyped and he gave us a great explanation after.

The story was scary and fun! It had an intro video to get us in the mood, and the serial killer we were escaping called and spoke to us multiple times during the encounter.

Very linear flow which was easy to follow.

Solid design to give you murder in the cabin vibes.

Good story. Stayed on theme throughout.

A couple layers to some puzzles added a bit of difficulty.

Would get pretty cramped any more than 4.

Definitely hesitated turning around a couple of corners.

Good. But sticky. It was different from usual and I’m not sure how to describe it.

This part was kind of basic. I was surprised how many puzzles were in the room because it didn’t have a lot of items……

They were awesome

It was unusual. Not a lot of fluff or prettiness but tough clues and combos

There were 3 of us. We’re kind of experienced but some if these clues were pretty tough to crack

Some might find it scary as it’s about murder but it wasn’t scary 😂

But some if the locks were hard to open and they almost had to come open them with the right combos. Twice 😂 could be user error too…..
