33 escape rooms
This is a classic style escape room with combination locks, but it’s done really well. The puzzles were fun and the staff were great and were quick to help when one of the elements in the room experienced a technical glitch.
Gameplay
From the top they told us the story was linear, and the clues flowed nicely into each other. No frustrating red herrings.
Atmosphere
Classic set design with a few twists to keep it interesting.
Customer service
Our gm was enthusiastic and jumped in when one interactive element wasn’t working so we didn’t lose time. The person at the front desk was welcoming and cool too.
Particularly interesting or different
No
It was a classic premise but done really well.
Story
The plot was a classic whodunnit but I like that
Difficulty
Medium
There were two of us and we’ve done a lot of escape rooms, and aside from one puzzle that had us hung up, we got through the rest with just the right amount of effort.
Game tech
Mechanical
Ideal number of players
3
We did great with two, but three is probably ideal. Since the puzzles are linear, any more players might just get in the way.
Scary
Not scary
Minimum age
14
Not designed for kids but a smart teenager could do it.
Was anything broken?
Yes
There was one interactive element that was on the fritz but I’m sure it was fixed after we finished the room.
Live actors
No
Physically active
Not at all
Accessibility
It is a vision-heavy room. Users need to discern colour for one puzzle, there is reading of small fonts for another. Hearing is required for three puzzles. There are no steps and you don’t move around very much so if someone were using a mobility aide they would be able to do it.
Easy to find location
