Overall a fairly low-tech puzzle heavy room that was entertaining, but nothing to make it stand out. Multiples of the same puzzle (3 digit numeric, 4 letter alpha etc) with no logic to which lock a code would go to was a bit frustrating, and one puzzle that didn't have a clue, you just had to know of trivia for the solution. Host was friendly, but lacked any excitement or passion for the room.

Not a good start, since Dracula over booked and had to be bumped to DaVinci with no compensation or even real reason/remorse, but room was decent. Not best DaVinici rooms. Over reliance on locks, so cool elements, but super dark, kind of too easy and only 1 room was cramped and atmosphere/ ambiance was sub par in dedication to them. Story same, but was okay start thst would have us reschedule and try Dracula at least. We shall see.

Not gonna lie, this room was super lame. Firstly the GM was a sweet girl but had zero passion, she was shy and just told us exactly where the first puzzle was to start with. It’s very linear, and felt like allllllll locks and keys. You’d find a key and have to try multiple locks at random to see where it fit. The room was pretty boring as far as setup and decor. Played with 2 people, def wouldn’t play with more than that because we still got out in a really quick time. More than 2 people wouldn’t have nearly enough to do, especially with how linear it is.

Too many locks requiring the same type of code. Every time we found something we thought might open a lock, we had to try it on multiple locks. Fun room, but a lot of potential to be better.

WOW! The furniture was gorgeous! That desk, tho! 😍 So many beautiful pieces in the room. There were a few cheap pieces, but most of it was beautiful.

It has SO much potential! I wish there weren’t so many locks that needed to be opened the same way. Every time we thought we had a 3 or 4 digit number, we had to try it on every lock it might open. Same with letters. There was one directional lock and one lock that needed more letters, but having so many similar locks was a disappointment.
Story
It felt like most of it was “solve this puzzle and earn one code for unlocking the next puzzle (which will give you a code for unlocking another puzzle).” There were a few nods to the story, but not much.

We had fun, GM was good (very young, but cute and helpful). A lot to unlock, codes to decipher but not especially immersive. Great practice for code solving.
Gameplay
So, it was fine, kind of a slog of locks and figuring out codes. It didn’t seem to be following a story, but the puzzles themselves were logical and doable (and sometimes a bit challenging which was good). We enjoyed it but we’re not delighted like you get after an amazing room.

Really enjoyed this one. It made you think. There was one clue that we were told it was just a “you just have to know it to get it” clue and I feel that’s a bit hard if one of our party didn’t randomly know the fact. Overall great but I hope they change that for future players
