Murfree's Manor

My wife and I had a lot of fun with this room! There were a few puzzles that I thought were very unique, and I thought the room had a very good flow to it. There is a lot of back and forth while you're exploring the room, so try to make sure you're keeping a good pace and not wasting time.

This was a fun room! It's a classic escape room style and story, but it's well done and there are lots of fun elements. There are some areas that need some TLC and a few puzzles that don't fit perfectly, but overall it's good. Staff is VERY friendly and give a lot of hints, starting from the rules explanation and continuing, so if you want to go through without hints definitely speak up early.

Murfree’s Manor takes place in an old-looking house, and the set is very convincing. Down to the fact that there is a drab attic with uneven steep stairs. Does that make it good to be so drab though? On the plus side, the puzzles were very grand, incorporating mundane things around the house into ingenious brain teasers. One of them is very elaborate and has multiple layers. The space is also large, even without the additional floor. Unfortunately, space feels somewhat wasted and it’s mostly one lock box after another. Also, I’m not sure what this room was trying to achieve with a somewhat unnerving spooky video. It’s not scary at all, though you’re meant to be frightened by a dark room based on the video. Kinda wonder if the company was afraid to commit to a spookier atmosphere? As a result, although the puzzles are indeed fun, the overall vibe and story end up being undercooked. I still had a good time visiting Murfree’s Manor, though it may be an acquired taste for some.

Great theme, great puzzles with a good flow.

We had several family members in town for Christmas and did this escape room. Our host was Slate who did a great job and we loved him. The room itself was kind of hard but thankfully there were 8 of us who worked together and got out with 5 minutes to spare. This was our 3rd Murfreesboro Escape Room and love them

This game is among the most satisfying we have played. While I would say it lacks a little in atmosphere especially in one room, it more than makes up for it in difficulty. There is one puzzle that I am certain cofounds a lot of veteran players. Luckily my wife figured out the pattern quickly.

This room was the hardest at this location but was also my favorite. I definitely recommend bringing lots of friends to come play with you as this room has lots to do. The puzzles were unique and well spread our throughout the room and more than made up for the ok story. This room was difficult and I would recommend bringing along some experienced players to join you.
