Rating: 3/5 - Decent space theming and puzzles, but showing some wear
Pros:
➕They made an effort to decorate the set floor to ceiling to fit the theme. It's not high budget or quality but there is a space ship vibe. There are screens, lots of panels & switches, and LED lighting.
➕Puzzles were enjoyable with a nice variety, not too hard. Everything seemed fair and made sense (careful not to overthink). Seemed like there was a lot to do, it was fairly non-linear.
➕It was a mix of tech and combo locks along with some tactile/physical interactions.
➕Some teamwork puzzles
➕More than a single room to explore
➕Room was well lit, didn't need flashlights
➕Story videos were well done along with some amusing interactions with a voice-over character, pre-recorded hints are delivered via that character.
Cons:
➖Set and props are showing a lot of wear and tear, it needs a refresh.
➖Public bookings, though no one else joined our game
➖Only 3 hints, but I'm not sure if they are strict on this.
➖General vibe of this place feels like it's stuck in 2015.
➖Distracting noise leakage from the neighboring room.
Some crawling is required by at least one person, but no running or climbing. As a team of 2, there was a lot to do and we did not escape, especially because of the teamwork puzzles and non-linearity. We needed maybe 5 more minutes to finish the final sequence. I would recommend 3-4 enthusiasts making sure you divide and conquer.
My ranking of the rooms I've played here starting with favorite:
1. Iron Throne
2. Deep Space
