Wild West: Roy's Revenge

We loved this room! Excellent theming and a great variety of puzzles. We loved the idea of going back to a centre puzzle and consistently using it throughout the game. Puzzles matched well to the theme and a fun story throughout. Staff at Evolo were amazing throughout our visit!

Really fun room. It had a good mix of tougher puzzles and easier puzzles. Super fun ending! We were a team of two who did the room and there are a good amount of puzzles to get through so bring more unless you are experienced some puzzle just take a long time. Not the best room design but great puzzles and a gen 2 room, great staff!

We were very impressed with this room! The tech in this room was fantastic and flowed with the game. There was heaps of puzzles to do in this room, a lot of which we had not come across before. Another great room by Evolve!

Nothing short of fantastic. Wild West was a true delight from start to finish, from the puzzles to the story to the set design I loved every second. Immediately we were transported into the Wild West within the saloon setting but further to this everything is painted to look like a 2D retro style video game. It is awesome. The puzzles matched the theme with absolutely everything considered and implemented, right down to if the horse poo needed to glisten or not. Spoilers: it does. There was a genuinely baffling amount of content to get through, it’s very non-linear but designed so that we rarely, if ever felt overwhelmed/lost. I loved the variety of puzzles, their integration into the story and the flow, even down to the code words chosen to match the theme. Nick was an absolute king running us through everything we wanted to know and more, going as far as showing us how some of the mech worked as our little escape room insect brains wanted to know. If I were to yee my last haw I’d be happy to do so now that I’ve played this room. Book it now.

Another absolute banger from Evolo! Having also played their Diamond Heist room I knew what kind of high quality design to expect going in and I was not disappointed in the slightest. Attention to detail is what comes to mind with this one, with the environment focusing on a caricature/cartoon version of the Wild West which was executed wonderfully, every single prop and set piece served a purpose and meshed well with the multi-linear flow. A real mammoth in terms of puzzle content which is a plus from me but can be overwhelming for newcomers, luckily each puzzle was creative, served the story and was a joy to solve. Very little negatives on my end as my friends and I just had a blast the whole way through. Roy got his revenge, it was beautiful. Nick our GM was a legend and was super knowledgeable! 9.5/10 🔏🧩

This room was very enjoyable. For a couple, who often bicker and end up stumped on a puzzle, which holds us up for a long time, we were able to focus on each available puzzle individually - as the room's puzzles are pretty nonlinear. The end of room was a race against the clock with a few puzzles given in the remaining minutes, but we highly enjoyed the room and ended up winning with only a few mins to go. The technology and activating switches in the room was a fun novelty and kept the suspense high while we high-fived our way through puzzles. Huge kudos to the owners and GM of this room, as there was a moment they knew we had the right solution, but one piece was missing (as we rushed and made a mistake). A quick call put us in the right track and we were back on the momentum to the finish line.
