Krampus' Lair

One thing’s for sure, you don’t want to be on Krampus’s list! If you find yourself being bad this year and hijacked to Krampus‘ lair, I hope you have enough confidence and skills to escape. Haha. This escape room was a perfect immersion of puzzles, physical movement, the use of a live actor(s), and teamwork. We had a lot of fun playing this together because of how immersive, intense, and suspenseful it was! Once again, the live actors did not harm any of us, but they did grab, pull, and drag you as this is a full contact experience. (But all fun and games!) I played this with a large group of people, and we chose normal mode (no tasers, but lights out and full physical contact). If you’re new to escape rooms and don’t have a lot of experience with horror themed escape rooms, I would recommend normal mode. If you’re looking for a festive horror themed escape room with a large group of players, get yourself on the naughty list and be transported to Krampus’ Lair! You’ll never want to be a naughty kid ever again!

So much fun! We need more escape rooms like this. Intermediate puzzles made difficult and stressful by the wrath of Krampus and the demented elves. I had a blast. This is the 2nd room we’ve done here and I love how friendly the staff is and how immersive the rooms feel. Shout out to Danny, Jorin, Winston, Ross, Clover, Matt, Christina and anyone I might’ve forgotten!

After playing Zoe: reborn in October I had to bring my friends here to play Krampus. Some played Zoe, some did not. This was a great overlay of Zoe :reborn! Some changes, new characters in the room, a new hint system we did not have before which was fun. This was definitely a more fun and thrilling version of the game, which was a nice change after being so terrified playing reborn. The owner christina was very kind and was fun to chat with after the game. She’s very creative and I admire that! I came last week to play Pinocchio and found out about the Krampus layover from Matt our Geppetto, and got to catch up with him again today. Super cool guy! See you again soon Zoe: reborn!

10000/10 experience! The fear, the music, the costumes, everything! We even got a special lead investigator character in the room that the owner Christina told me they do sometimes which was so much fun because the guy we had would play along with our jokes even when we were scared. He helped us so much thank you Danny! We would have been so stuck haha 😂 I can’t wait to come back to play Zoe reborn! We finished in 85 minutes and it’s a 100 minute room but man we were so ready to escape haha the running away is very physical but so much fun. I feel like this game was great for my party of 6, and this was my first escape room ever with a live actor. They also told me about Morty so I’m very excited to start using this app with my friends. We got to talk after the game with the owner, and we chatted about the game and how Zoe has a huge following and I can definitely see why! Thank you to Ross, and destinni as our actors! I swear I thought ross was on stilts but he’s naturally 6 ft 5 and the Krampus costume made him even taller! 😅 next up is Pinocchio!!

6/10 Overall the costumes were amazing, but overall too rushed to enjoy. Definitely killed the fun of Zoe I hate to say it, but this was a really disappointing experience. I loved Zoe Reborn, and was excited to come back to Escape Era/Escapade, but compared to the fully immersive, heart stopping experience we had the first time, this was disappointingly... lacking heart. We showed up at our designated time and has to wait 40+ minutes because they were running late, which was already a mood killer. Then, we had an actor in the room with us telling us the answers to the puzzles the entire way through, we realized later because they were trying to speed us through the room to make up for lost time and also to fit in people behind us. Our group didn't have an issue with pushing multiple groups through at a time if the experience isn't inhibited, but the game truly wasn't even fun with every answer to every puzzle was given to us. It really ruins the spirit of escape rooms as a whole, and lowkey tainted how i feel about this location. I was really excited to do the other rooms here, but now I'm not. Last, I didn't expect the entire final portion to be the exact same as Zoe, and left feeling a little cheated, especially for the price. The finale of Zoe, though, is my favorite part and was excited to see the group do it, but because they were rushing everyone through the rooms, the finale was cut from the game completely. Just alright, which was far less than the hopes I had for it.

Very good escape room. Did extremely mode and actors Ross and Tommy did a real good job of immersing us into the experience. The scare factor was great and the game master was great. 11/10

This room was so fun highly recommend to those who love scary !! Played normal mode went great! & Definitely coming back to play Zoe: Reborn & as extreme! Destinni, Niko & Ross made the experience so great !!

Although the puzzles were very easy I really enjoyed the scare factor more! Destinni Ross and Niko were all awesome! They did a great job scaring us all and made it very immersive!

This room all around was amazing, I was hesitant at first because of the intensity, but it is well worth it. If you can, DO EXTREME mode!! Don’t regret it later!

Other horror rooms I've done were more nuanced in terms of story and set design. Krampus is a pure adrenaline rush: creepy actor who can abduct you chases you through dark narrow spaces waving a taser (they wave a taser at you even in "no taser" mode).
